About Birdhouse

Birdhouse was founded in 1992 by Tony Hawk and Per Welinder, both former Powell Peralta Bone Brigade pros. The name comes from Hawk's "Birdman" nickname, and the brand grew into one of the most recognised names in skateboarding on the back of Hawk's career and a deep team of street and vert skaters.

Hawk still owns Birdhouse today. Its Level 1 completes are the brand's entry range: proper decks and components built for skaters starting out, from a company that has been part of skateboarding for more than 30 years.

An 8.0" deck is a full-size board that sits right in the sweet spot for most teens and adults.
