Arbor Pocket Rocket Artist Jess Mudgett Cruiser | 27.00"
Small enough to stash, fun enough to ride everywhere.
The Arbor Pocket Rocket is a 27" mini cruiser for quick, nimble rides around town. It's light, easy to carry and turns on a dime, so it suits smaller riders, kids moving up from a toy board, and anyone who wants a grab-and-go board for short trips. This Artist Series version features artwork by Jess Mudgett.
The deck is 7-ply sustainably sourced Canadian maple, 7.75" wide with a short 14" wheelbase. Paris Street 108mm trucks keep it snappy and responsive, and Arbor's Easyrider Bogart 61mm 78a wheels roll smoothly over cracks and rough footpaths.

About Arbor Collective
Arbor was founded in November 1995 by Bob Carlson and the late Chris Jensen, two friends living in Venice, California. They set out to build boards that respected the places they rode, launching with snowboards that used sustainably sourced wood topsheets and cores and less plastic. Arbor describes itself as the first traditional action sports brand founded to be mindful of the planet, and skateboards followed a few years later. Its Returning Roots program funds reforestation in Hawaii, where Koa wood was the brand's signature material for years.
Bob Carlson still runs Arbor today, and the brand has grown into a collective of riders, artists and makers. Its skate range is built from sustainably sourced Canadian maple, rolls on Arbor's own Easyrider wheels, and comes as Certified Completes, with every part chosen to suit each shape. Add a long-running artist series and you get boards that ride well, look great and are made with care.
FAQs
What is the Arbor Pocket Rocket best for?
Short, fun trips around town. It's a compact mini cruiser that's easy to carry onto a tram, into class or under a desk, and its soft wheels make quick work of footpaths and car parks. It's made for cruising, not tricks or long-distance pushing.
Is a 27" cruiser the right size for me?
It suits kids, smaller riders and anyone who values portability above all. At 7.75" wide it's a narrower platform, so bigger adults or riders with large feet will usually be more comfortable on a 30" to 31" cruiser with a wider deck. If you want a calmer ride for longer distances, look at a 37" longboard like the Arbor Fish.
Is the Pocket Rocket good for beginners?
Yes, especially for younger and smaller riders. The soft 61mm wheels are forgiving and it's light and easy to control. The short wheelbase makes it quick to turn, so adults learning from scratch may find a longer board steadier at first.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser has big, soft wheels and a shaped deck made for rolling around, while a standard skateboard runs small, hard wheels on a symmetrical deck built for tricks and skateparks. The Pocket Rocket's 61mm 78a wheels glide over cracks and rough surfaces that would stop a trick board, which makes it far better for getting from A to B.
Can I commute on the Pocket Rocket?
Yes, for short commutes and last-kilometre trips. It's easy to carry and the soft wheels handle rough footpaths. The small deck and short wheelbase mean it's less stable at speed than a longboard, so for longer daily commutes a bigger board is more comfortable.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It's a Certified Arbor Complete, so it arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
