The 20Ah battery delivers up to 100km under ideal conditions, with realistic mixed-city range of 40–70km. The battery is removable and lockable so you can charge it indoors without moving the bike. Suspension on the Harlem V2 was specifically upgraded from the previous generation — the front fork features 30mm more travel for a noticeably smoother ride over urban surfaces, paired with a rear adjustable mono-shock. Yes — when operated in pedal-assist mode restricted to 25km/h, the Harlem V2 meets Australian EPAC requirements for public road use. The motor cuts out at 25km/h or when pedalling stops above 6km/h. The twist throttle must be isolated on public roads — it's for private property use only. The bike can be unlocked to 50km/h for private property riding only. What real-world range should I expect?
The 100km figure is under optimal conditions — light rider, flat terrain, low assist, consistent speed. In real Melbourne mixed-use riding expect 40–70km. With a passenger, hills, or heavy throttle use, plan for 25–45km. For maximum range: use PAS 1–2 on flat sections, maintain tyre pressure, and avoid repeated full-throttle starts. The removable battery makes it easy to charge at your destination without moving the bike.
How does the Harlem V2 compare to the V3?
The V2 is the original Harlem — lighter, removable battery, and currently on limited clearance stock at a sharper price. The V3 is the fully updated model featuring the FBX Power Platform developed with Bafang, Fatboy's proprietary custom suspension with full preload/compression/rebound tuning, upgraded 4-piston brakes with metal sintered pads and 2.9mm thick discs, and refined ergonomics throughout.
