Womens Cargo Snowboard Pants

What defines a cargo snow pant?

Pockets and utility styling, on a relaxed cut. Cargo snow pants take the utilitarian pocket layout — thigh pockets, cargo storage — and build it into a technical snow pant. The look is functional and relaxed rather than slim, and it has become the defining silhouette of current snow style.

The pockets are not just for show. Somewhere to stash a phone, a pass, a snack or a spare layer without digging into your jacket is genuinely useful on a long day.

How is the cargo cut different from baggy or skinny?

Worth knowing so you buy the right shape. A cargo pant is defined by its pockets and utility styling and usually sits in relaxed-to-baggy territory. A baggy pant is about volume and drape without necessarily the cargo pockets. A skinny or slim pant is the tailored, close-fitting end. Cargo is the utilitarian, storage-forward choice.

Does the relaxed cut affect fit and sizing?

It does, and it is the most common reason pants get returned. A relaxed cargo cut is meant to sit loose, but the waist and rise still need to fit you. Check the rise so they do not gap at the back when you are strapped in and sitting down, which is where snow gets in. Sizing varies between brands, so if in doubt, call us before ordering.

What waterproof rating do you need?

Australian snow is wet, so your pants need real waterproofing since they take the most direct snow contact when you sit. 10K handles regular riding; go 15K or higher if you spend time sitting in the snow or ride through rain. The relaxed cut does not change the rating you need.

How should they fit over boots?

Check the hem length over your actual boots. Too high and snow gets up the leg; too low and the hem drags and wears through on your board edges. A cargo pant's relaxed leg usually sits nicely over a boot, but confirm the length.
