Frequently Asked Questions

No. It is the most common and most expensive mistake in snowboarding. The liner packs out around half a size with use, so a boot that feels comfortable in the shop will be loose by mid-season, and the extra length lets your foot slide and blunts your board response.

Usually the boot is too long, or the heel box shape does not suit your foot. Tightening the top of the boot does not fix it. Heel lift causes lost response, bruised toenails and burning calves, so it is worth solving rather than tolerating.

K2 fits wide feet well among the standard-fit brands. If your foot is genuinely wide, look at wide-fit boots rather than sizing up, because a wide last gives you the width without adding length you do not need.

Not automatically. Flex follows how you ride rather than how long you have been riding. A confident park rider may want something softer than a cautious all-mountain rider. Stiff boots suit hard charging, aggressive carving and speed.

You can, but call us first. Sizing runs differently between brands, with ThirtyTwo true to size, Burton slightly narrow in the heel box and K2 wider. A two-minute conversation about your foot and your current boot prevents most returns.

Yes, free with every boot purchase. We also assess your footbed and check heel lift as part of fitting, with no commission and no upsell pressure.
