The Orion is Jones' playful, precise freeride binding for riders who want comfort and a freestyle-friendly flex without giving up edge hold. It's as happy lapping the park as it is slashing powder off the top.
The Progressive Flex highback is stiffer down low for solid carving and softer up top for tweaks, while SkateTech sends your energy straight to the edges. Jones rates it 6/10 for flex and 9/10 for both all-mountain and park.
Best for: intermediate to advanced riders who ride summit to park and want one comfortable binding that carves clean and still tweaks.
The Tech and What It Does for Your Day

Is the Jones Orion good for park?
Yes. Jones rates it 9 out of 10 for freestyle and park. The softer upper highback and medium flex make it easy to tweak and press.
What size Jones Orion do I need?
M fits US men's 7.5 to 10 and L fits 10.5 and up (Mondo 25.5–28 cm and 28.5+ cm). Size off your snowboard boot, not your street shoe. Bring your boots to 435A Bridge Rd Richmond or call 03 9421 2293 and we'll check the fit.
Will it fit my board?
Yes. Every Jones binding comes with a universal disc that mounts to 4x4, 2x4 and EST/Channel boards from any brand.
What's SkateTech?
It's the NOW-designed baseplate on Jones bindings. The base pivots on a kingpin like a skateboard truck, sending pressure from your straps and highback straight to the edge for more turn power and board feel.

HOW JONES RIDES
3D Contour Base
Jones bevels the base up at the nose and tail like a spoon, so the board lifts and pushes snow aside instead of ploughing through it. You get float in soft snow without leaning back. It's on boards like the Flagship and on every Jones splitboard.
Traction Tech
Raised bumps along each edge add extra grip points. On the Flagship there are three per edge, at the front binding, the centre and the back binding.
Splitboards built to tour
Every Jones splitboard runs 3D Contour Base, Traction Tech and the Bolt-less Bridge, with a notched tail that fits Jones Quick Tension Tail Clip skins.
FASE fast entry bindings
FASE adds semi automatic entry to a two strap binding. Step in, the highback closes, then buckle the ankle strap. It works with any snowboard boot, so no special boots are needed.

What size Jones board do I need?
Start with your weight and boot size, then think about where you ride. Our Jones size charts cover the range, and we're happy to size you up in store or over the phone.
What is 3D Contour Base?
It's the spoon shaped bevel Jones builds into the nose and tail. The edges lift away from the snow there, so the board floats and turns more easily in soft snow.
Do Jones FASE bindings need special boots?
No. Jones says FASE works with every snowboard boot and with standard board mounting patterns. If you're not sure about your board, ask us and we'll check before you buy.
Can I pick up in store or return it?
Yes, you can pick up from our Richmond showroom. For returns and exchanges, everything you need is in our returns policy.
