Frequently Asked Questions

Dust, grit and moisture create drag that slows you down and wears bearings out. Cleaning and re-lubing restores most of the speed and extends their life significantly, often making a cleaned set of good bearings outperform a new cheap set.

Remove them from the wheels, pry off the shields, soak in bearing cleaner or citrus degreaser, agitate and let them dry fully. Then add a few drops of lube, spin to distribute, refit the shields and reinstall. A cleaning kit makes it easy.

When they start to slow, feel gritty or get wet. Regular skaters might clean every month or two; more often if you skate dusty or damp spots. Never leave bearings wet or skate them with cleaner still inside.
