Loaded Tarab II Complete Longboard | 47"
Move around. Find your flow.
The Tarab II is Loaded's benchmark longboard dancing and freestyle board. At 47" long and 9.5" wide it gives you a huge, flowing platform for cross-steps, boardwalking and shuvits, with a symmetrical shape so you can ride it either way.
Bamboo and basalt construction, a cork bottom and basalt-reinforced nose and tail make it light, lively and durable, while rocker, soft kicks, grab rails and pre-milled wheel wells keep it locked in through every move. Paris V3 trucks and Orangatang Fat Free 65mm wheels complete the dancing setup.

Flex Guide
Flex is how much the deck bends under your weight, and it changes the whole feel of the ride. Loaded numbers its flexes from stiffest to softest: Flex 1 is the stiffest, and each higher number is softer.
- Stiffer (lower number): more stable and damped at speed, a planted platform for heavier riders, harder landings and faster riding.
- Softer (higher number): more spring and rebound, so pumping and carving feel livelier and more surf-like, especially at lower speeds. Best for lighter riders.
Pick by your weight first, then your style. If you sit where two flexes overlap, go stiffer for speed and stability, or softer for a bouncier, pumpier ride.
| Flex | Rider weight | Feel on the Tarab II |
|---|---|---|
| Flex 1 | 63–123+ kg | stiffer, damper and more stable; for heavier riders or a planted feel |
| Flex 2 | 36–86+ kg | lighter and noticeably livelier; for lighter riders or a bouncier dance |
About Loaded Boards
Loaded Boards was founded in 2000 by Don Tashman, after years of building snowboard-inspired boards in New York, some of them cut from old snowboards. The first Loaded board, the Vanguard, launched in June 2002. Loaded moved its whole line to bamboo cores in 2006, released the original Dervish, one of the first flexible drop-through carving boards, in 2007, and started its sister wheel brand Orangatang in 2008.
More than two decades on, Loaded still designs out of Culver City, California, and is known for obsessive construction, sustainable materials like bamboo, basalt and bio-based resins, and boards developed with its riders for carving, dancing, freestyle and freeride. If you want a longboard that feels alive under your feet, Loaded is the benchmark.
FAQs
What is the Loaded Tarab II best for?
Longboard dancing and freestyle: cross-steps, boardwalking, shuvits and flowing footwork. The long, symmetrical deck also makes it a smooth cruiser.
Is a 47" longboard the right size for me?
For dancing, yes. The length gives you room to walk and flow, and it suits most teens and adults. Riders who prefer a snappier, more technical dance board may like the shorter 44.5" Mata Hari.
Is the Tarab II good for beginners?
Yes, especially for anyone wanting to learn dancing. It's long and stable, so your first cross-steps feel secure, and it keeps up as you progress.
Which flex should I choose?
Go by your weight first. On the Tarab II, Flex 1 suits roughly 63–123+ kg; Flex 2 suits roughly 36–86+ kg. Lower numbers are stiffer and more stable at speed; higher numbers are softer and pumpier. If you sit between two, go stiffer for speed and stability or softer for a livelier carve. Not sure? Call or visit us and we'll help you choose.
Can I commute on the Tarab II?
It cruises nicely on smooth paths, but it's long to carry and the small 65mm wheels are built for dancing, not rough footpaths. For daily commuting a drop-through like the Dervish Sama is easier.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
