Globe Geminon Rock Longboard Black Mediterranean | 40"
The long Geminon. More wheelbase, more confidence.
The Geminon Rock is the 40" version of Globe's symmetrical drop-through longboard, built for cruising, freestyle and getting into downhill. A 30" wheelbase makes it the most stable Geminon, and the symmetrical cutaway shape rides the same in either direction. The Black Mediterranean colourway continues Globe's abstract, minimalist art series. It suits teens and adults, especially taller riders.
The deck is Resin-8 hard rock maple, epoxy pressed for strength, with a rockered profile and slight side-to-side concave that keep your feet planted. It runs drop-through on 180mm Slant reverse kingpin trucks for a low, steady ride, and rolls on 70mm 83a Globe Conical Cruiser wheels that are quick and hold speed. Black griptape with a clear broadcast finish completes the setup.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Geminon Rock best for?
Cruising, freestyle and progressing into downhill. The long 30" wheelbase and low drop-through deck make it very stable as speed builds, and the symmetrical shape works for riding and sliding in either direction. It's also a comfortable long-distance cruiser.
Is a 40" longboard the right size for me?
It suits teens and adults, and it's especially good for taller riders who want a long, steady wheelbase. It's narrower than the 37.5" Geminon at 9.25", so it feels a little more nimble edge to edge. For something shorter and easier to carry, look at the 37.5" Geminon or the 34" Prowler Mid.
Is the Geminon Rock good for beginners?
Yes. A long wheelbase and low drop-through deck make it very stable and easy to foot-brake. Its length means it's less nimble in tight spaces, so beginners riding crowded paths may prefer the shorter 37.5" Geminon.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
The Geminon Rock is a drop-through: the trucks mount through the deck so it rides lower. That gives easier pushing, better stability at speed and easier foot-braking. A top-mount sits higher on the trucks, which is more responsive and carvy but less planted when you're going fast.
Can I commute on the Geminon Rock?
Yes, especially on longer routes. The 70mm 83a wheels roll fast and hold their speed on smooth paths and roads, and the low deck makes pushing easy. Its 40" length is bulkier to carry, and firmer 83a wheels feel a bit buzzier on very coarse footpaths.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
