Globe Geminon Micro-Drop Longboard Dawn | 37"
A touch lower, a lot more locked in.
The Geminon Micro-Drop is a symmetrical longboard with a slightly dropped standing platform, so you sit a little closer to the ground than on a standard deck. That extra-low stance adds stability and makes pushing easier. It's built for speed and control, and it suits teens and adults who want a steady board for cruising, slopes and longer rides. The Dawn colourway has a clean, warm graphic.
The deck is Resin-8 hard rock maple, pressed with epoxy, with a slight W concave that keeps your feet locked in. It rides on 180mm Slant reverse kingpin trucks with reversible 50° and 54° hangers: run 50° for more stability at speed or 54° for tighter turns. Large 70mm 83a Globe Conical Cruiser wheels roll fast and hold momentum, and clear griptape shows off the top art.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Geminon Micro-Drop best for?
Stable cruising, slopes and longer rides. The slightly dropped platform and drop-through mount put you low to the ground, and the slight W concave holds your feet as speed picks up. It's also an easy board to push for commuting.
Is a 37" longboard the right size for me?
It suits most teens and adults, and the 10" width is roomy enough for bigger feet. It actually measures 37.5" with a 28.25" wheelbase. If you want something shorter to carry, try the 34" Prowler Mid; for more length, the 40" Geminon Rock.
Is the Micro-Drop good for beginners?
Yes. The dropped platform makes it one of the most stable boards in the range, and it's very easy to push and foot-brake. The 83a wheels are a little firmer than soft cruiser wheels, so smoother paths are the best place to start.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
A drop-through mounts the trucks through the deck so the board sits lower; the Micro-Drop also drops the standing platform slightly for an even lower stance. That makes pushing easier and adds stability at speed. A top-mount rides higher for a more responsive carve, but feels less planted.
Can I commute on the Micro-Drop?
Yes. The low platform cuts the effort of each push, and the 70mm wheels roll over cracks and joins and keep their speed. The 83a urethane is fast on smooth paths but slightly less forgiving on very rough footpaths than a 78a wheel.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
