Globe Bender Storm Rover Longboard | 41"
Big wheels, long wheelbase, easy kilometres.
The Globe Bender is a 40.5" top-mount longboard built for cruising, carving and longer commutes. Its long 28.5" wheelbase and near-10" width make it a roomy, stable platform for teens and adults, including taller riders. The Storm Rover graphic shows through split griptape on the top.
The deck is Resin-7 hard rock maple with a medium side-to-side concave and a lighter rocker profile for a comfortable, relaxed stance. It runs 150mm Slant reverse kingpin trucks for smooth, predictable steering and large 70mm 78a Globe Bender wheels. Those big, soft wheels roll over cracks and coarse surfaces easily and hold their speed, so long rides take less effort.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Bender best for?
Cruising and commuting over longer distances. The long wheelbase keeps it stable, and the big 70mm soft wheels roll over rough ground and hold their speed. It also carves nicely, but it isn't built for tricks or fast downhill.
Is a 41" longboard the right size for me?
It suits teens and adults, and it's especially good for taller riders and bigger feet thanks to the 9.875" width. It's the longest board in this Globe line-up, so it's stable but bulkier to carry. For something shorter, look at the 38.5" Archer or the 34" Prowler Mid.
Is the Bender good for beginners?
Yes. A long, wide deck and soft, big wheels make it very forgiving and easy to balance on. As a top-mount it sits a little higher than a drop-through, so pushing takes slightly more effort, but it's a confident board to learn on.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
The Bender is a top-mount, so the deck sits on the trucks. That gives more leverage and a carvier, more responsive feel. A drop-through such as the Geminon mounts the trucks through the deck so it rides lower, which is easier to push and more stable at speed.
Can I commute on the Bender?
Yes, it's one of the best commuters in the range. The 70mm 78a wheels smooth out cracked footpaths, coarse bitumen and bike-path joins, and they keep rolling between pushes. Just note it's a full-size board, so it's less convenient to carry inside.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
