Triple 8 Exoskin Gloves
Lightweight grip for street, trail and park.
ExoSkin Gloves were designed with Triple Eight's pro riders for comfort and grip wherever you ride. They are made for mountain biking and BMX, and they also suit scooter riders, e-skaters and Onewheel riders who want grip and a bit of skin protection. They keep sweat off your grips and blisters off your hands.
A ventilated mesh upper keeps your hands dry, and the palm is reinforced for durability. They slip on with a pull-on wrist tab, and there is a Sweatsaver brow-wipe on the thumb. These are grip and comfort gloves with no splints, so pair them with wrist guards if you want wrist support.

Size Guide
Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, keeping the hand flat. If you are between sizes or unsure, Triple 8 strongly recommends sizing up to the larger size. The cm figures are converted from Triple 8's inch chart.
| Size | Hand circumference at knuckles (in) | Hand circumference at knuckles (cm) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 7.3–7.7in | 18.5–19.6cm |
| S | 7.7–8in | 19.6–20.3cm |
| M | 8–8.5in | 20.3–21.6cm |
| L | 8.5–8.9in | 21.6–22.6cm |
| XL | 8.9–9.3in | 22.6–23.6cm |
The size steps are tight on this glove, so measure carefully rather than guessing from another brand's size.
About Triple 8
Triple Eight was born on the streets of New York City and made its first helmet in 1996. It started as protection for people who actually ride, and that is still the whole point. Over the years the brand has built signature gear with some of the biggest names on a board, from Tony Hawk signature edition helmets to Deep Cover editions for Mike McGill and back-to-back Olympic gold medallist Keegan Palmer.
Below the helmet, Triple Eight is known for the Saver Series. The Wristsaver, Kneesaver and Elbowsaver are some of the most common pads at any skatepark or rink, and the range now runs from soft pull-on Coverts to derby-tested RD Wristsavers and the Bumsaver padded shorts. Collaborations with roller names like Barbie Patin and GRLSWIRL show how deep the brand runs in roller culture. Riders choose Triple Eight for simple, proven protection that fits well and keeps them skating.
FAQs
What size ExoSkin Gloves should I get?
Measure around your knuckles: XS is 7.3–7.7in, S 7.7–8in, M 8–8.5in, L 8.5–8.9in and XL 8.9–9.3in. The steps are small, so if you are between sizes, Triple 8 recommends going up.
Do ExoSkin Gloves protect my wrists?
No. They are grip and comfort gloves with a reinforced palm, not wrist guards, and have no splints. If you want wrist support for skating, wear a wrist guard like the Wristsaver.
Are they good for e-skate or Onewheel?
They are a solid lightweight option for grip and protecting your palms from scrapes. Triple 8 designs them for MTB and BMX. For higher speed riding where you might slide out, consider a glove with slider pucks or a wrist guard.
How do I care for ExoSkin Gloves?
Air dry them after each ride so the mesh does not stay damp. Triple 8 does not publish washing instructions, so hand wash gently in cool water if needed and dry away from direct heat.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
