The Jones Further 25L Backpack is the mid-size pack in Jones' backcountry range, built for touring days and big sidecountry missions. It has room for your avy tools, water, food, layers, crampons and a first aid kit, with a comfortable, streamlined fit.

Jones builds the Further from recycled, PVC-free 600D ripstop polyester with a recycled ballistic nylon base. A front avy tools pocket keeps your shovel and probe separate and fast to grab, and adjustable straps carry your board vertically or your skis on the side. Dual hip belt pockets, dual ice axe loops and a thermo-moulded back panel round it out.

FAQs

Will the Jones Further 25L carry my snowboard?
Yes. Adjustable straps carry your board vertically on the front of the pack for bootpacking, or your skis on the side.

Is the Further 25L avalanche-tool ready?
Yes. It has a dedicated front avy tools pocket that keeps your shovel and probe separate from the rest of your gear so you can get to them fast. Carry a transceiver, shovel and probe every time you head into avalanche terrain, and do an avalanche course before you go.

Does it fit a hydration bladder?
Yes. There's an internal water bladder sleeve inside the main compartment. A bladder isn't included.

Should I get the Further 25L or the Higher 32L?
The Further suits most day tours and sidecountry missions. Go for the Higher 32L if you want back-panel access to the main compartment, an external bottle holder and extra room for rope, radio and longer technical days.

How do I clean it?
Empty the pack, brush off dirt and spot clean with mild soap and cold water. Rinse and hang it to air dry out of direct sun before storing. Avoid harsh detergents, which can strip the DWR finish on the base.
