Globe Sun City Cruiser La Tigra | 30"
Short swallowtail, barefoot-ready tail pad.
The Sun City La Tigra is Globe's short, surf-inspired swallowtail cruiser in a bold tiger-themed graphic. At 30" long and 9" wide it's compact and quick to turn, but wide enough to feel planted when you lean into a carve. It's a great board for teens and adults who want a small, surfy cruiser for beach paths, neighbourhood laps and short trips.
The deck is Resin-7 hard rock maple, finished with paint-dip and laser-etched art on the bottom and clear broadcast grip on top. It has a mellow concave and a kicktail, plus an algae foam tail pad for barefoot riding. It runs 5.25" Tensor alloy trucks and 62mm 83a Globe Conical Cruiser wheels in clear urethane. The firmer 83a wheels roll a little quicker on smooth ground.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. It makes its decks and trucks in its own factory. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed Resin-7 and Resin-8 maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics, all set up as ready-to-ride completes. From the pocket-sized Blazer to the 40" Geminon Rock, it's a range built for real streets and everyday riders.
FAQs
What is the Globe Sun City best for?
Short, surfy cruising: beach paths, laps of the block and quick trips. The swallowtail and 18.5" wheelbase make it nimble, and the foam tail pad means you can ride it barefoot after a surf. It's a cruiser, not a trick board.
Is a 30" cruiser the right size for me?
It suits most teens and adults. At 9" wide it has room for bigger feet while staying easy to carry. If you want even more width, the 30" Stubby is 10" wide; for a longer, steadier board, the 36" Blazer XL; for the most portable option, the 26" Blazer.
Is the Sun City good for beginners?
Yes. The wide deck and mellow concave are comfortable and stable. The 83a wheels are slightly firmer than soft cruiser wheels, so they're quicker on smooth ground but less forgiving on rough patches, and the short wheelbase makes it fairly quick to turn.
Cruiser vs skateboard: what's the difference?
A cruiser is made for getting around rather than tricks. The Sun City has a shaped swallowtail deck, a foam tail pad and bigger 62mm wheels that roll over cracks. A street skateboard uses small, hard wheels and a symmetrical deck for skateparks and tricks.
Can I commute on the Sun City?
Yes, for short trips. The 62mm 83a wheels roll quickly on smooth paths and handle typical cracks, but coarse or broken footpaths will feel buzzier than on a softer 78a wheel. It's light and compact, so it's easy to carry on public transport.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
