FAQs

Do these fit all skateboard wheels?
Yes. It's a standard 608 size skateboard bearing with an 8mm bore, so it fits almost every skateboard, cruiser and longboard wheel. This listing is one bearing, sold individually; a full board needs 8, two per wheel.

Is this ABEC rated?
ABEC Buttas is the model name. Andalé doesn't publish an ABEC number for it, and ABEC only measures machining tolerances for industrial bearings anyway. What matters for skating is the G5 precision balls and the tough chromium steel races.

Why buy a single bearing?
If one bearing is damaged but the rest of your set is fine, you only need to replace that one. It saves buying a full set of 8 for one bad bearing.

How do I clean and look after it?
Flick the removable rubber shield off with a pin, soak the bearing in citrus degreaser or isopropyl alcohol and dry it completely. Add two or three drops of skate bearing lube, refit the shield and spin it in. Clean it whenever it sounds gritty or slows down.

Do I need spacers?
No spacer comes with a single bearing. Spacers sit on the axle between the two bearings in each wheel, so the bearings stay lined up when you tighten the axle nut. Lots of street skaters ride without them, but they help bearings spin freely and stop them being crushed if the nut is over-tightened.
