About the UltraRange
The MTE UltraRange collection combines ultra-comfort, lightweight traction and mobility with timeless Vans style — fast becoming a new classic. First developed in 2017 with the help of Vans pro surfer Pat Gudauskas, a man who spends his waking hours exploring in search of the perfect wave, the UltraRange was built to flex between city streets and hiking trails and everything in between.
The result is a low-top sneaker packed with Vans' most innovative footwear tech — a fully supportive exo-skeleton across the toes and sidewalls, an UltraCush™ Lite midsole for serious comfort, an all-terrain reverse waffle outsole for grip wherever you go, and a breathable mesh upper with a flexible sock-like fit. One of the most versatile sneakers in the Vans lineup, the UltraRange was made for adventures big and small.
The current range includes the classic UltraRange EXO — with updated RapidWeld detailing and an Old Skool inspired design — and the evolved MTE UltraRange NEO VR3, which adds suede to the upper and a chunkier look and feel for those who want a bit more weight underfoot. How to Care for Your UltraRange Sneakers
A sneaker made for exploring is going to take a beating — here's how to keep yours looking fresh. You'll need: a soft brush or cloth, warm soapy water and some newspaper.
- Remove the laces and set them aside before you start.
- Use the soft brush or cloth to brush out any initial dirt or mud.
