It allows you to ride hard and fast, yet stay connected and responsive. For riders at the heavier end of the range or those prioritising maximum float in deep snow, sizing up may offer more surface area and stability; for lighter riders or those focused strictly on groomers and tighter terrain, you could size slightly down.
