DC Lotus BOA® Women's Snowboard Boot | Black/White | 2026
All-Day Comfort. Zero Compromise on Style.
The DC Lotus is one of the most consistently praised women's snowboard boots on the market — and for good reason. It hits the exact middle of the sweet spot between genuine all-mountain performance and the kind of comfort that means you're still smiling at 3pm when the legs are tired and the snow is scraped off. The soft-medium 4/10 flex makes it approachable for intermediate riders building confidence on groomers and working up to blue runs and beyond, while still delivering enough response to hold its own on steeper terrain and variable snow conditions. The Dual Zone BOA® system puts precision fit control at your fingertips with two independent H4 Coiler dials — one for the forefoot, one for the ankle — and the skate-shoe-influenced upper design makes the Black/White colourway a clean, versatile choice that works with everything. This is the boot that gets recommended again and again because it simply does what it's supposed to do, all day, every day.
The Dual Zone BOA® Fit System is the Lotus's core fitting advantage. Two independent H4 Coiler dials — the same dial technology DC uses across their flagship boot range — control the forefoot and ankle zones separately. Push and turn to tighten, pull to release instantly. The two zones let you customise the fit precisely: tighten the ankle down for heel lockdown and response, while leaving the forefoot slightly looser for comfort through a long day, or lock both zones equally for an even, wrapped feel from heel to toe. Both dials can be adjusted on the fly with gloves or mittens on, and the H4 Coiler's high-capacity design means fewer clicks, faster adjustment, and consistent tension across the lace path. BOA® dials are covered by a lifetime guarantee on the hardware itself.
Inside the shell, the Response Liner II is what makes the Lotus punch above its price point on comfort. The liner combines EVA memory foam with high-rebound heat-mouldable EVA — out of the box it already wraps the foot with a broken-in feel; heat mould it in-store or at home and it conforms precisely to your foot shape, eliminating pressure points and building a custom heel pocket. A 360° power strap wraps the liner around the ankle for additional support and structure, and anatomical latex J-bars are positioned at the heel to grip the liner against the shell and prevent heel lift throughout the day. The shell itself uses articulated construction — a segmented build that allows even flex throughout the boot and prevents the hard spots and restriction points that come with a rigid one-piece shell. An internal ankle harness connects liner to shell, keeping everything locked in place. Underfoot: the Molded IMPACT-ALG™ insole uses algae-based foam technology for a lightweight, eco-friendly, shock-absorbing footbed with a moulded arch support and heel cup. The UniLite® outsole is built around weight-reducing foam construction with zonal rubber placement for durability and grip where it's needed — lightweight underfoot, confident on snow and lodge floors.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size should I order?
DC Lotus boots run true to size — order your standard women's US shoe size. Like all snowboard boots, the Lotus should feel noticeably snug out of the box: toes lightly brushing the front of the liner when standing upright, heel sitting down with minimal lift. That's the correct fit — not too small. Once you bend your knees into a riding stance, your heel drops and toes pull back from the front of the liner, and the boot wraps your foot properly. A boot that feels comfortable standing in a shop will be sloppy on the mountain within an hour. If you're between sizes, the half size down is usually the right call. Our full boot fit guide is at twelveboardstore.com.au/pages/snowboard-boots-how-to-choose-and-fit-guide, or call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll help.
Do you offer professional boot fitting and heat moulding?
Yes — and it's free when you buy your boots from us. Come into the store at 435A Bridge Rd Richmond and our staff will fit you properly: checking shell fit, measuring your foot, and heat moulding your Response Liner II to your exact foot shape on the spot. The Response Liner II uses heat-mouldable EVA that conforms to your foot's specific contours — it eliminates pressure points, locks in your heel, and means the boot feels dialled from run one rather than after a week of break-in. If you're not in Melbourne, we can walk you through the at-home heat moulding process by phone or message — the liner responds well and the process is straightforward.
What if I get the wrong size or the fit isn't right?
Reach out before you do anything else — call us on 03 9421 2293, message through the contact page, or email info@twelveboardstore.com.au. With two independent BOA® zones, many apparent fit issues can be resolved through zone-specific tightening adjustments or a heat mould. If the boot genuinely isn't right for your foot, we'll swap it. Boots must be unworn outside — lodge floors and carpet only — and returned in original condition.
Is the Lotus right for me, or should I look at something stiffer?
The Lotus at 4/10 flex is ideal for intermediate riders who are building their mountain confidence — riders who can link turns on blues and are starting to push onto steeper groomed runs and exploring resort terrain. It's forgiving enough to make learning easier and comfortable enough to wear all day without fatigue, while still providing enough response to improve your technique and hold up as your riding develops. If you're an advanced rider who charges hard, hits big jumps regularly, or spends a lot of time on steep groomed runs at speed, you may want to look at something stiffer — a 6/10 or higher will give you more precise response under a committed riding style. If you're new to snowboarding, in the first season or two, the Lotus is a great choice that will grow with you for several seasons before you outpace it. Call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll give you an honest steer on whether it's the right boot for where your riding is right now.
