About Blind Skateboards

Blind is one of the most important skate brands ever started. Mark Gonzales, the Gonz, founded it in 1989 under Steve Rocco's World Industries after leaving Vision. He chose the name as a dig at his old sponsor, and he designed the Blind logo himself.

In 1991 Blind released Video Days, directed by Spike Jonze and featuring Gonzales, Guy Mariano, Jason Lee, Rudy Johnson and Jordan Richter. It's still regularly ranked among the most influential skate videos ever made, and it helped shape modern street skating.
