Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard | 2027
Slash. Jib. Send It All.
The Jones Mountain Twin 2027 is the definitive do-it-all snowboard, built for riders who want one board to handle everything — park laps, powder days, groomer carves, and side hits. Blending freestyle playfulness with all-mountain performance, the Mountain Twin delivers a balanced, responsive ride that thrives anywhere on the mountain.
Featuring a directional twin shape, CamRock profile, and medium flex, the Mountain Twin offers the perfect mix of pop, stability, and forgiveness. Camber underfoot provides powerful edge hold and snap, while rocker in the tip and tail keeps the ride loose, floaty, and catch-free. The 3D Contour Base 2.0 — tuned for all-terrain with 4mm of spoon bevel in the nose and up to 4mm in the tail — smooths turn initiation and reduces tip drag without pushing the board too far in any direction. Traction Tech 3.0 adds three extra contact points into the edges (one centre, one under each binding) for noticeably better grip when conditions firm up.
The Master Core uses a 1:1 Paulownia to Poplar dual-density construction — a ratio that balances lightness, pop, and durability across the whole length of the board. BComp Carbon/Flax Stringers add snap and energy return while the flax component absorbs chatter, reducing the harsh feedback that pure carbon can produce. Recycled ABS sidewalls, oversize recycled steel edges, and Bio Resin epoxy complete a build that takes sustainability seriously without trading off performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the Mountain Twin and the Mountain Twin Pro?
The Mountain Twin is the all-rounder — medium flex (6/10), Master Core, Biax Fiberglass, BComp Carbon/Flax Stringers, and a medium 3D Contour Base 2.0 tuned for versatility. It's built for intermediate to advanced riders who want one board to do everything. The Mountain Twin Pro is the stiffer, more aggressive version — mid-stiff flex, Ultra Core with Koroyd dampening, Triax Fiberglass, reclaimed carbon stringers, and a Recycled Sintered 9900 base. It's aimed at advanced to expert riders who primarily charge big terrain at speed and want maximum edge precision and response. If you're still progressing across the whole mountain or split your time between park and pow, the standard Mountain Twin is the better call. If you're consistently riding at the edge of the board's ability and want more power, step up to the Pro.
Should I choose a regular or wide size?
Use the wide (W) sizing if your boot size is US10.5 or larger. The wide versions add roughly 7–9mm of waist width over the standard sizes — enough to eliminate toe and heel drag when you're driving hard on edge. If you're a US10, you're in the grey zone — it's worth coming in to check in person or calling us on 03 9421 2293. Most riders on Australian resorts are well served by standard width, but if you're getting toe drag on firmer snow it's the first thing to address in your setup.
Is the Mountain Twin a good board for Australian resorts?
It's one of the best-suited all-mountain boards for Australian conditions. The Traction Tech 3.0 edge system is specifically worth calling out here — Australian resorts like Buller, Falls Creek, and Perisher frequently have firm, groomed, or icy patches, and those three extra edge contact points make a measurable difference in grip. The CamRock profile gives you camber edge hold underfoot without the full commitment of a pure camber board, so it stays forgiving when conditions are variable. The Freeride/Freestyle insert pack also means you can centre your stance for park days and set it back slightly on a powder day — useful across an Australian season where conditions can swing dramatically day to day.
