About Venom
Venom was started out of necessity in 2007, when good aftermarket bushings were hard to find. Zak Maytum, then a national slalom skateboard champion, began pouring urethane in his parents' garage at 16, and after months of trial and error the original Venom bushing formula was born.
Today Venom is one of the most trusted bushing makers in skating, with a wide colour-coded durometer range and shapes for everything from street trucks to tall downhill trucks. Its HPF (High Performance Formula) is made to balance rebound and damping, so your trucks turn easily and still hold a line.
FAQs
Which durometer should I get?
As a rough guide: under about 60kg, go soft (around 81a to 88a); 60 to 85kg, medium (around 90a to 92a); over 85kg or if you like tight, stable trucks, go hard (94a and up). If your current bushings feel too stiff, drop one or two steps.
Will they fit my trucks?
Yes, if you ride standard street trucks like Independent, Thunder, Venture or similar. They aren't for reverse kingpin longboard trucks.
How many are in the pack?
Four: a small and a large cone for each truck, so one pack does a full board. Washers aren't included, so reuse your existing ones.
Where does the small cone go?
The small cone goes on top (road side, under the kingpin nut) and the large cone goes board side, against the baseplate.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
