The Mammut Pro Removable Airbag 3.0 Ready Backpack 35L is designed by Mammut for mountain guides and experienced backcountry riders, here in Black. It's an "airbag ready" pack: it's built to take Mammut's Removable Airbag System 3.0, but it's supplied without the airbag system (deployment unit) and without a cartridge. Both are sold separately.
Mammut gives the Pro a 3D-moulded back panel, aluminium frame and U-frame for load transfer, plus optimised hip belt and shoulder straps. You can get into the main compartment from the top or through a full rear zip. Safety gear goes in a separate high-visibility orange compartment, and pull straps carry your snowboard, skis or splitboard halves. It's PFC-free, with recycled outer fabric and lining.

About Mammut
Mammut started in 1862, when Kaspar Tanner began making ropes in Dintikon, Switzerland. More than 160 years later it's still a Swiss mountain brand at heart, and its climbing ropes, alpine gear and avalanche safety equipment are used by guides and mountain pros around the world.
In the snow world Mammut is known for avalanche safety: Barryvox transceivers, probes, shovels and the Removable Airbag System. The Nirvana pack has been a freeride favourite for years, and the Pro and Light airbag packs are built for guides and experienced backcountry riders. If you want gear from a brand that lives and breathes the mountains, Mammut is it.
FAQs
Does the Mammut Pro 35 come with an airbag?
No. This is the "ready" version, so it's supplied without the airbag system (deployment unit) and without a cartridge. To use it as an airbag pack you need Mammut's Removable Airbag System 3.0 and a compatible Mammut cartridge, both sold separately. Without them it works as a regular 35L touring pack.
What airbag system does it take?
Mammut's Removable Airbag System 3.0. Mammut says the system can be removed and moved between compatible Mammut 3.0 packs, has a 150L airbag, and conforms to EN 16716. Read and follow the Mammut user manual for fitting, testing and use.
Is the Pro 35 avalanche-tool ready?
Yes. Your shovel and probe go in a separate high-visibility orange front compartment, so they're quick to reach. An airbag doesn't replace the basics: always carry a transceiver, shovel and probe, travel with partners who carry them too, and do avalanche training before you head into avalanche terrain.
Will it carry my snowboard?
Yes. Pull straps attach your snowboard, there's a diagonal ski carrier, and a split board can be attached in two parts. The U-frame helps the load carry well with a board on.
Can I fly with it?
The pack itself is fine to travel with. If you add the airbag system and cartridge, airline rules on compressed gas cartridges vary, so check Mammut's flying guidance and your airline before you travel.
How do I clean it?
Remove the airbag system first if fitted. Brush off dirt and spot clean with mild soap and lukewarm water, then air dry away from direct heat. Follow Mammut's user manual for caring for the airbag system itself.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
