Independent Risers 2 Pack | 1/4
Genuine Indy 1/4" risers for bigger wheels and less wheel bite.
Independent Genuine Parts 1/4" Risers add clearance between your trucks and deck. They're for skaters running bigger wheels, looser trucks or both, who want to stop wheel bite.
Indy makes them from glass-filled TPU, a tough, long-lasting material, to the same standard as its trucks. A 1/4" lift gives roughly 55 to 60mm wheels room to clear, and the riser protects your deck from the baseplate.

About Independent
Independent Truck Company was founded in 1978 by Richard Novak and Jay Shuirman, the pair behind Santa Cruz Skateboards, together with Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson, whose San Francisco company Ermico Enterprises manufactured the trucks. The first Indys came out that year, and the brand is still based in Santa Cruz, California.
Today Independent is the truck most skaters picture when they think of a skateboard truck. It is known for a stable, predictable turn, a hanger that grinds smooth and a lifetime guarantee under the motto Built to Grind. From the classic Stage 11 to the lower Mid and the featherweight Forged Titanium, there is an Indy for street, park, bowl and old-school shapes, and they all feel familiar the moment you step on.
FAQs
Do I need 1/4" risers?
If you run wheels around 55 to 60mm, or keep your trucks loose, yes. Most street wheels under 54mm don't need a riser, and 60mm plus cruiser wheels may want more lift.
What length bolts do I need?
With 1/4" risers, run 1.25" to 1.5" bolts. As a general guide, without risers 7/8" or 1" suits most decks; with 1/8" risers go 1" to 1.25"; with 1/4" risers 1.25" to 1.5"; and with 1/2" risers 1.5" to 2". Go to the longer end on thicker decks. You want the nut fully on the thread with a little bolt showing, but not so long it sticks up through the baseplate.
Allen vs Phillips bolts, which should I use?
Either works with these risers. Allen (hex) bolts are easier to tighten without stripping the head, while Phillips heads are the classic option and use the screwdriver on most skate tools. Pick whichever matches the tool you carry.
How many in a pack?
Two, one for each truck. One pack does a full board.
Will they fit Indy trucks?
Yes, they're Independent's own risers, made to suit Indy baseplates. They'll also suit most standard skateboard trucks.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
