Independent Hardware Phillips Deck Bolts | Black/Red
Tough Indy Phillips bolts in black and red, in three lengths.
Independent Phillips Deck Bolts are tough, solid hardware in Indy's black and red colourway. Choose 7/8" or 1" for a standard deck without risers, or 1 1/4" if you're running 1/8" risers.
Each set has 8 bolts and 8 nuts, with the Independent logo on the bolt heads and a countersunk head that sits flush in your deck. The Phillips head means you don't need to hunt for a specific Allen key; any screwdriver does the job.

About Independent
Independent Truck Company was founded in 1978 by Richard Novak and Jay Shuirman, the pair behind Santa Cruz Skateboards, together with Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson, whose San Francisco company Ermico Enterprises manufactured the trucks. The first Indys came out that year, and the brand is still based in Santa Cruz, California.
Today Independent is the truck most skaters picture when they think of a skateboard truck. It is known for a stable, predictable turn, a hanger that grinds smooth and a lifetime guarantee under the motto Built to Grind. From the classic Stage 11 to the lower Mid and the featherweight Forged Titanium, there is an Indy for street, park, bowl and old-school shapes, and they all feel familiar the moment you step on.
FAQs
What length bolts do I need?
For a standard deck with no risers, 7/8" or 1" is right. Add 1/8" risers and go to 1.25". Bigger risers or thick decks need 1.5" or longer. You want the bolt to come through the nut fully without sticking out far past it.
Allen or Phillips bolts?
Allen bolts use a hex key, which grips better and is less likely to strip, and most skate tools have one built in. Phillips bolts use a screwdriver, which is easy to find anywhere. This set is Phillips.
How many bolts are in a pack? Is it enough for one board?
Yes. Each pack has 8 bolts and 8 nuts, enough to mount two trucks to one deck.
Which length should I pick?
7/8" or 1" for a standard 7 ply deck with no risers, and 1 1/4" if you run 1/8" risers.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
