187 Killer Pads Fly Knee Pad | Black
187's slimmest, most versatile knee pad.
The Fly Knee is 187's slimmest and most versatile knee pad, and it's one of the most popular pads in the range. It's built mainly for skating, from street and park to cruising and learning, with cross-over use in other action sports like e-skate and Onewheel.
A contoured, form-fitting design cradles the knee, while the foam system absorbs hard impacts. Size-specific caps sit close to the pad to keep bulk down, and ballistic nylon with industrial-weight stitching keeps it going session after session.

Size Guide
Straighten your leg and wrap a soft tape measure around the middle of your knee. 187 measures the circumference of the extended knee. 187 says its chart is a guide based on averages. If you're between sizes or unsure, size up: customers generally do better with the larger size.
| Size | Knee circumference (cm) | Knee circumference (in) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 25–30cm | 10–12in |
| S | 30–36cm | 12–14in |
| M | 36–41cm | 14–16in |
| L | 38–43cm | 15–17in |
| XL | 43–51cm | 17–20in |
Pads can feel tight out of the bag and usually loosen after a few sessions. If you can still slide it on, it should break in. 187 publishes this chart in inches; cm values are converted and rounded.
About 187 Killer Pads
187 Killer Pads started out in an upholstery shop run by a single family, and that sewing-room background still shows in every pad: ballistic nylon, industrial-weight stitching and shapes refined over years of feedback from riders. The Pro Knee is the flagship, and 187 calls it the trusted choice of professional skaters and top athletes worldwide for bowls, vert ramps and heavy sessions.
The pro connections run deep. Keegan Palmer and Steve Caballero have both had signature 187 pads, and Lizzie Armanto worked with 187 on what it calls the first women's pro model pads in skateboard history. On the roller derby side, the Pro Derby Knee was developed with input from top derby skaters, and collabs with Independent Trucks keep the skate culture front and centre. From a first six pack to full Pro gear, it's the pad brand riders trust when they're going big.
FAQs
What size 187 Fly Knee should I get?
Measure around your knee with your leg straight and match it to the chart: XS fits 25–30cm (10–12in) up to XL at 43–51cm (17–20in). If you're between sizes or unsure, 187 recommends sizing up.
Fly Knee or Pro Knee?
The Fly is slimmer and lighter, ideal for park, street and learning. The Pro Knee has thicker dual-density foam and replaceable caps for vert, bowl and repeated knee slides. If you're dropping into big transition often, go Pro.
Can I replace the caps on the Fly Knee?
No. 187 confirms the Fly Knee caps aren't replaceable. When the caps wear through, it's time for a new pair.
Can I wear the Fly Knee under pants?
Yes, the slim profile makes it one of the better options to wear under looser pants or jeans. Plenty of riders wear them over pants too.

Let customers speak for us
Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
