We opened because we believed Melbourne deserved a snowboard shop that was actually built around snowboarding — not a ski shop with a snowboard section, not a general sporting goods store with boards on a wall, not a warehouse operation that ships product and hopes for the best. A proper specialist, with staff who ride, a workshop on-site, and a deep enough range to match riders to the right gear rather than the easiest gear to sell.

We Ride What We Sell
Our staff snowboard. They skate. They ride electric boards and fat tyre e-bikes. The advice you get at Twelve Board Store comes from people who have used the gear in the conditions you are going to use it in — Australian resorts, Melbourne bike paths, street skating in Richmond. When someone asks which Jones board handles wet Victorian snow best, or which Evolve setup suits a Melbourne commute, the answer comes from experience. That is not something you can train into a staff member who has never been on a mountain or an electric skateboard.
Frosty and the Workshop
Frosty runs our in-house electric and snowboard workshop at our Richmond store. Hot wax, edge tune, base repair, boot heat moulding, BOA repair, electric skateboard servicing, e-bike assembly and repairs — all handled in-house. Every brand we sell is serviced and supported at the same address you bought it from.
This is genuinely unusual. Most board sport retailers do not have an in-house workshop. They sell the product and send you to a service centre or back to the brand when something needs attention. We built the workshop because we thought the alternative was not good enough.
Boot heat moulding is included free with every boot purchase. It takes twenty minutes. It is the single most impactful service we offer and it is one of the reasons customers come back to us rather than buying boots online.

Skateboards, longboards, surf skates and cruisers from Anti-Hero, Baker, Welcome, Santa Cruz, Globe, Carver, YOW, Landyachtz and more. Skate shoes from Vans, Globe, Lakai, Emerica and Etnies. Clothing from brands embedded in skate culture.
Electric skateboards from Evolve, Onewheel, Exway and Summerboard. Fat tyre electric bikes from Fatboy, Super73, FlightRisk and Ampd Brothers. All with demo rides available at our Richmond showroom and full in-house servicing from Frosty's workshop.
Hydro Flask water bottles. Because riders need to stay hydrated and Hydro Flask is the bottle that actually does the job.
The Programs That Set Us Apart
We are a Jones Re-Up drop-off centre — the only one in Melbourne. Bring in any dead snowboard, any brand, and we will ship it to Jones for recycling into new boards. Up to 95% of the material is upcycled. You get a credit toward a new Jones board. The planet keeps a board out of landfill.

Price Match and Transparency
We price match any authorised Australian retailer. If you find a lower legitimate Australian price on a product we stock, bring it to us and we will match it. We do this because we believe the service we provide is worth coming to us for — and price should not be the reason you go elsewhere.
We do not upsell. We do not recommend gear that is wrong for your situation because it is more expensive or easier for us to move. We have been operating long enough to know that a customer who buys the right gear comes back. A customer who buys the wrong gear does not.
