Great quality product. Liners are amazing. Recommend using beeswax on leather palm to keep it waterproof. Holds up in wet weather

Apres and Work - Good Boots

Been running the MTE boots for years lift ops and maintenance, better than Sorrels now that they've got a zip side!

Quality base layer

These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

Nice sized day pack for short trips and staying light. Can't wait to get up in the mountains to use it.

Fat boy from 12 Boards

I absolutely love the bike and use it nearly everyday.
I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

The First Electric Skateboard With Torque Vectoring. Full Stop.

The Radium Mach One is unlike anything else on the market — a Formula 1-inspired electric skateboard built from the ground up by skaters who got tired of off-the-shelf parts holding the category back. At its core is RTS (Radium Torque Steering), a patent-pending torque vectoring system. Most belt-drive e-skateboards split power evenly between the rear wheels with no cross-talk between them. RTS works differently: a turning sensor reads your steering input and lean rate, then the motor controller actively biases torque side-to-side in real time — more power to the outside wheel through a turn, less to the inside one — the same principle performance cars use to rotate through a corner instead of fighting it. The result is power-assisted steering and traction that a fixed-ratio belt drive simply can't replicate. It's a world-first for powered skateboarding.

Power comes from dual Radium-developed 6485 quad-bearing brushless motors (205kv, 16kW rated), putting out 8000W combined through a MakerX DV6s motor controller — a VESC-based ESC, which in the esk8 world means a mature, well-understood platform for current control and motor commutation. The battery is a 48V, 1089Wh pack built from Molicel INR-21700-P42A cells in a 12S6P configuration: 12 cells wired in series to build the 48V nominal voltage, with 6 in parallel per group for capacity and current handling. Each parallel group (P-group) is individually fused at the balance connection, which isolates a fault to a single group instead of taking out the pack, and removes the internal balance wiring that's usually the weak point in hobby-built battery packs. On this build (16T gearing) that's enough for 64km/h (40mph) and 30–50km of range depending on terrain and rider weight.

The carbon fibre enclosure is structural — a monocoque that carries the load and houses the battery and electronics, F1-style, instead of relying on the deck for strength. The hollow carbon fibre deck bolts on as a separate, quick-swap component, so it can be changed out to suit your stance or riding style without touching the drivetrain underneath. Suspension is an adjustable swing-arm setup at each truck, fixed in yaw and roll but free to move vertically and independent of steering input — closer in concept to a single-sided motorcycle swingarm than anything else on an eskateboard. It's paired with Radium's R6 split-angle trucks: a looser 30° angle up front for quick steering response, and a tighter 60° angle at the rear for stability at speed — a deliberate trade-off rather than running matched angles front and rear. Radium's SR125 airless rubber wheels round it out, giving pneumatic-style comfort and grip without the puncture risk or pressure maintenance.

What Riders are Saying

"Wow! Wow! WOW!!! It's my seventh esk8 and definetly my last! This thing is the duck's nuts! Gotta remind myself to breathe!!!"

"Freaking-incredible!!! I own seven boards and this is now the only one I ride. I say it’s underpriced for what you’re getting. Like a high end car, you don’t realise how fast you’re going. It felt like 60km/hr (which is the max on most of my boards, which feels like 80km/hr) but on the Mach I go 70-74km/hr each ride and it is so smooth and well built it feels much slower. You won’t regret buying one."

"It's really hard to describe how breathtakingly responsive the board handles, not to mention it's awesome power in only a few sentences. The Mach One definitely takes Esk8ing & adventure boarding to another level."

About Radium Performance

Radium Performance is an Australian electric skateboard brand designed and engineered in Melbourne. Founded by riders who'd spent years building and repairing their own boards, Radium set out to bring Formula 1-style engineering — structural carbon monocoques, independent suspension, and true torque vectoring — to powered skateboarding. The Mach One is their flagship board and the first production e-skateboard to feature torque vectoring (RTS).

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store

Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.

Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.

We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.

Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.

Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
