I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

Nitro Crown Boa Snowboard Boot 2025 | Lilac

Year after year the Crown is considered the queen of comfort in women's snowboard boots — and the 2025 version has been upgraded to be even more durable while keeping everything that made it a fan favourite in the first place. This is the boot that helps riders push their limits across any terrain while keeping their feet warm and comfortable from the first run of the season to the last day of the trip. The Women's Cloud 6 Liner delivers pro-level fit, quick response, and luxurious comfort that feels as good on day one as it does several seasons in — fresh out of the box or worn in, the Crown feels like royalty underfoot. The Dual Zone BOA® Fit System runs two independent dials for micro-adjustable precision fit across upper and lower zones, locking in the forefoot for greater response and control while letting you tune the cuff independently. The patented Re/Lace Liner Locker means effortless liner retightening mid-session with a single pull, and the ILS Liner Lacing keeps the liner locked firmly in the shell all day. At a 5/10 medium flex, the Crown hits the sweet spot between forgiving and responsive — capable enough to push into any terrain, comfortable enough to wear all day without fatigue. The Lilac colourway uses recycled rubber in the outsole as part of Nitro's ongoing commitment to more eco-friendly materials. Upgrade your comfort this season.

Dual Zone BOA® Fit System
Two independent dials, two zones, total adjustability. The Dual Zone BOA® configuration provides micro-adjustable precision fit that locks in the forefoot for greater response and control, while the upper zone independently dials in cuff tension and flex feel. Both dials adjust in seconds with gloves on, both allow fine-tuning on the fly without stepping out of your bindings, and both are covered by BOA®'s lifetime hardware guarantee. The upper and lower zonal adjustability ensure a fully tailored wrap across the entire foot and cuff — the kind of precision fit that makes the Crown feel dialled from the very first run.

Women's Cloud 6 Liner
The Cloud 6 is where the Crown's reputation for comfort is built. Pro-level fit and quick response wrapped in luxurious comfort — it feels exceptional straight out of the box, and heat mould it in-store and it conforms precisely to your foot's contours for a fully custom fit with zero pressure points from run one. The Cloud 6 maintains its comfort and structure across multiple seasons, not just the first few weeks. All Nitro liners are heat-mouldable — it isn't essential, but an in-store heat mould gives you a more custom fit from day one rather than wearing the boot in over time.

ILS Liner Lacing + Patented Re/Lace Liner Locker
The ILS Liner Lacing features a lacing harness directly connected to the boot shell that snugly wraps around the liner, firmly securing it in the shell for strong hold and a precise, consistent fit throughout the day. The patented Re/Lace Liner Locker works alongside it: once the liner laces are locked in at the start of the day, retightening mid-session is a single pull of the liner lace tab — no undoing your boots, no removing gloves, no interruption to your riding. Your foot settles, the boot expands slightly, and the Re/Lace Liner Locker has you back to full tension in one motion.

Women's Solo Ortholite® Footbed
Ortholite® is the world's leading supplier of open-cell foam insole technology, and the Women's Solo footbed is built specifically for the female foot. It compresses less than 5% with excellent levels of shock absorption and energy return — consistent performance from day one to the last day of the season. The unique open-cell structure wicks moisture away and dries quickly, and a patented anti-microbial formulation fights fungus, bacteria, and odour to keep your boots smelling and feeling fresh. Lightweight construction adds comfort without adding bulk.

Rubber Outsole + EVA Midsole + Flex Link
The outsole uses an abrasion-resistant, high-grip rubber compound in an effective traction pattern for consistent, dependable grip on snow, ice, and resort surfaces. The Lilac colourway uses recycled rubber as part of Nitro's eco-conscious material commitments. The EVA midsole reduces overall boot weight and provides cushioning and thermal insulation underfoot for comfortable, warm riding across long days on the hill. The Flex Link panel at the ankle allows consistent flex without buckling and adds response without bulk — a detail that keeps the Crown's flex pattern smooth and natural throughout the day.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What size should I order?
The Nitro Crown BOA® runs true to women's US shoe size — order your standard size for a snug, secure heel fit. Like all snowboard boots, it should feel noticeably snug out of the box: toes lightly grazing the front of the liner when standing upright, heel locked down with minimal lift. Drop into a riding stance and the heel drops — that's the correct fit. The Dual Zone BOA® gives you micro-adjustable closure so you can fine-tune fit on the hill in seconds. Our full boot fit guide is at twelveboardstore.com.au/pages/snowboard-boots-how-to-choose-and-fit-guide, or call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll help.

Do you offer professional boot fitting and heat moulding?
Yes — and it's free when you buy your boots from us. Come into the store at 435A Bridge Rd Richmond and our staff will fit you properly: measuring your foot, checking shell fit before the liner goes in, and heat moulding your Cloud 6 liner to your exact foot shape on the spot. Heat moulding isn't essential on the Cloud 6 — it already fits exceptionally well out of the box — but doing it in-store gives you a fully custom fit from run one with zero pressure points and no break-in period needed. Not in Melbourne? We can walk you through the at-home process by phone or message.

What if I get the wrong size or the fit isn't right?
Reach out before you do anything else — call us on 03 9421 2293, message through the contact page, or email info@twelveboardstore.com.au. The Crown's dual BOA® dials and Re/Lace Liner Locker give meaningful fit adjustability, so many apparent fit issues can be resolved without a return. If the boot genuinely isn't right for your foot, we'll swap it. Boots must be unworn outside — lodge floors and carpet only — and returned in original condition.

How does the Crown BOA® compare to the Fate TLS?
Both are women's all-mountain boots in the Nitro range built around the Cloud 6 liner and ILS system, but they differ in flex and closure. The Crown BOA® (5/10) uses two independent BOA® dials for zonal precision closure and is the comfort-first, more forgiving option — ideal for intermediate riders who want a dialled fit with all-day ease across varied terrain. The Fate TLS (7/10) steps up the flex for a more responsive, performance-focused ride with TLS twin lace closure — better suited to confident all-mountain riders who want more precision and power transfer. Not sure which suits you? Call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll help you decide.

About Nitro
Nitro Snowboards was founded in 1990 by snowboarders, for snowboarders — originally in Seattle, now headquartered in Hünenberg, Switzerland. From the beginning, Nitro built their boots from the inside out, prioritising fit and liner technology above everything else — and that philosophy drives every product they make. The Crown is one of Nitro's most celebrated boots, refined season after season based on feedback from riders who trust it year after year as the benchmark for women's snowboard boot comfort.

About Snowboard Boots — Buying Guide

Snowboard boots are the most important part of your setup. They connect you to your board, affect your control, comfort, warmth and how much energy you burn across a full day on the hill. Getting the fit right is everything — a boot that fits correctly makes riding easier from your first run. A boot that doesn't will ruin your day regardless of how good the board underneath it is. At Twelve Board Store we fit hundreds of riders every season across brands including Vans, Burton, K2, Ride, ThirtyTwo and DC. Every boot in our range has been ridden and assessed by our team. We only stock boots we'd recommend to our own crew.

Getting your size right online: Measure your foot in centimetres while standing with full weight — this is your Mondo size, the most accurate way to find your boot size. Snowboard boots use US sizing. 25cm = US7, 26cm = US8, 27cm = US9, 28cm = US10, 29cm = US11, 30cm = US12. Boots should feel snug straight out of the box — toes grazing the end when standing, lifting slightly when knees bend forward. A boot that feels comfortable in your lounge room is too big for the mountain.

Volume matters as much as length: Low volume boots suit narrow, low-arch feet. High volume suits wide feet or high arches. Getting volume wrong causes pressure and pain regardless of length. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, contact us before you buy — we'll point you to the right boot.

Flex rating: Soft (1–4) for beginners, park riders and those who want a surfy, forgiving feel. Medium (5–7) for all-mountain versatility. Stiff (8–10) for aggressive freeride, carving and riders who want direct response and maximum support.

Closure systems: Traditional lace is still the most popular — micro-adjustable, direct feel, lower price point. BOA® dial gives you one-hand precision tightening with gloves on, fast on/off between runs. Hybrid BOA combines lace at the foot with a dial at the instep for zone-by-zone control. Speed lace is faster than traditional lace and lighter than BOA.

Wrong size? We'll swap it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or chat online — our team will give you a straight answer based on your foot shape, riding style and where you're planning to ride. If you're in Melbourne, come in and try them on at 435A Bridge Road Richmond. We heat mould liners in-store — no appointment needed.
