Fatboy Scrambler V2 Electric Bike
Urban Muscle. Retro-Moto Soul. Built for Two.
The Fatboy Scrambler V2 is the fat-tyre e-bike for riders who want attitude with their commute. Retro-moto styling, a long two-up saddle, and passenger pegs give it an identity that most e-bikes don't even try for — and underneath the look sits a serious 52V Bafang drivetrain that backs it up. If you want an electric bike that turns heads on the way to work and handles a weekend shred on the way back, the Scrambler V2 is it.
Power comes from a Bafang rear-hub motor delivering 500W continuous output, 1,560W peak controller power, and up to 100Nm of torque on a 52V Samsung lithium-ion system. The 20Ah battery is rated up to 100km per charge under ideal conditions — realistic mixed-city riding delivers 40–70km, and with heavy throttle use or hills plan for 25–45km. The battery is removable and lockable, so charging indoors doesn't mean moving the whole bike. Nine pedal assist levels give you precise control over how hard you work, and the twist throttle with isolator is there for private-property use when you want full electric power on demand.
The Scrambler V2 rides on Vee Rubber 20×4" puncture-resistant fat tyres with premium front suspension and a rear adjustable mono-shock — the combination absorbs Melbourne's rougher roads without asking you to slow down. Stopping power comes from 203mm TEKTRO hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, and the colour LCD display adds USB phone charging, trip data, odometer, range estimate, and a passcode lock. It's a complete, ride-anywhere setup in limited clearance stock.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Fatboy Scrambler V2 legal to ride on Australian roads?
Yes — when operated in pedal-assist mode restricted to 25km/h, the Scrambler V2 meets Australian EPAC requirements for public road use. The motor cuts out at 25km/h or when pedalling stops above 6km/h. The twist throttle must be isolated on public roads — it's for private property use only, as is any speed above 25km/h. Regulations vary by state, so call us on 03 9421 2293 if you want to talk through your specific situation before buying.
What real-world range should I expect?
The 100km figure is under optimal conditions — light rider, flat terrain, low assist, consistent speed. In real Melbourne mixed-use riding expect 40–70km. With a passenger, hills, or heavy throttle use, plan for 25–45km. For maximum range: use PAS 1–2 on flat sections, maintain tyre pressure, and avoid repeated full-throttle starts. The removable battery makes it easy to charge at your destination without moving the bike.
How does the Scrambler V2 compare to the V3?
The V2 is the original Scrambler — lighter at 38kg, removable battery, and currently on limited clearance stock at a sharper price point. The V3 is the refined update with the FBX Power Platform, Fatboy's proprietary custom suspension with full preload/compression/rebound tuning, upgraded 4-piston brakes with metal sintered pads and 2.9mm thick discs, and refined ergonomics throughout. Same battery capacity on both — the V3 upgrade is about smarter power, ride quality, and braking. Both are in our Melbourne showroom for a side-by-side ride.
