Jones Aviator 2.0 Snowboard | 2027
The Re-Imagined, Re-Engineered Resort Razor
The Jones Aviator 2.0 2027 is a precision-built all-mountain weapon designed for riders who demand power, speed, and total control. Engineered with input from Victor De Le Rue and Jimmy Goodman, the Aviator 2.0 is built to carve hard, hold an edge on steep terrain, and deliver explosive pop when you take it to the air.
The True Camber profile delivers full tip-to-tail camber for maximum edge hold, explosive pop, and the kind of locked-in stability that rewards aggressive riding. The 3D Contour Base 2.0 features an even 4mm spoon bevel in both nose and tail — starting at the contact point — which smooths turn initiation and eliminates edge catch in transitions without softening the board's aggressive character. Traction Tech 3.5 — Jones' most aggressive edge contact system — delivers three contact points per edge with an oversized centre bump for maximum grip on hardpack and icy terrain.
The Boost Core is triple-density Bamboo, Paulownia, and Poplar — bamboo stringers along the sidecut enhance durability, edge response, and torsional stiffness while Paulownia keeps the core light and damp. Koroyd® honeycomb in the nose absorbs vibration at a fraction of the weight of wood, reducing tip swing weight for quicker, smoother turns. Sustainable Flax/Basalt Power Stringers handle chatter at speed. A Carbon/Innegra Reinforcement layer under the ECO-Plastic Topsheet adds torsional rigidity and lightning-fast response — the combination that gives the Aviator its characteristic locked-in, high-speed precision.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the Aviator 2.0 and the Mountain Twin?
The Mountain Twin is the versatile all-mountain daily driver — CamRock profile (camber underfoot with rocker tips), medium flex (6/10), BComp Carbon/Flax Stringers, and a character tuned equally for park, groomers, side hits, and powder. The Aviator 2.0 is the high-performance specialist — True Camber (full tip-to-tail, no rocker), mid-stiff flex (7/10), Carbon/Innegra Reinforcement, Traction Tech 3.5, and a personality built around aggressive carving, speed, and stomping big airs. The Mountain Twin is the one-board quiver; the Aviator is the board you reach for when you want to really charge. If you're an advanced rider who finds the Mountain Twin starts to wash out when you push hard on steep groomers, the Aviator 2.0 is the step up.
Should I choose the regular or wide sizing?
Choose wide (W) sizing if your boot size is US10.5 or larger. The wide versions add roughly 10mm of waist width — enough to eliminate toe and heel drag when you're locked into full camber on edge. The Aviator is a board you'll be driving hard, so getting the width right matters more than on a softer, more forgiving board. If you're on the boundary (US10–10.5), it's worth coming in or calling us on 03 9421 2293 to check against your specific boot.
Is the Aviator 2.0 a good board for Australian resorts?
It's one of the best-suited high-performance boards for Australian conditions. True Camber with Traction Tech 3.5 is exactly what you want on the firm, groomed, and occasionally icy runs that define most Australian resort days at Buller, Falls Creek, and Thredbo. The Carbon/Innegra Reinforcement gives the board torsional precision that translates directly into locked-in carves on hardpack. The Koroyd® nose absorbs the chatter that builds up on chopped-out afternoon snow. The 3D Contour Base 2.0 with 4mm/4mm bevel keeps it from being catchy when conditions are variable. It's a demanding board that rewards aggressive riding — if that's how you ride, Australian resorts are exactly the right environment for it.
