Size Guide
Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, keeping the hand flat. If you are between sizes or unsure, Triple 8 strongly recommends sizing up to the larger size. The cm figures are converted from Triple 8's inch chart.
| Size | Hand circumference at knuckles (in) | Hand circumference at knuckles (cm) |
|---|---|---|
| JR | 6.0–7.0in | 15.2–17.8cm |
| S | 7.0–8.0in | 17.8–20.3cm |
| M | 8.0–9.0in | 20.3–22.9cm |
| L | 9.0–10.0in | 22.9–25.4cm |
Triple 8 does not give ages for JR. Measure your child's hand rather than going by age.
About Triple 8
Triple Eight was born on the streets of New York City and made its first helmet in 1996. It started as protection for people who actually ride, and that is still the whole point. Over the years the brand has built signature gear with some of the biggest names on a board, from Tony Hawk signature edition helmets to Deep Cover editions for Mike McGill and back-to-back Olympic gold medallist Keegan Palmer.
Below the helmet, Triple Eight is known for the Saver Series. The Wristsaver, Kneesaver and Elbowsaver are some of the most common pads at any skatepark or rink, and the range now runs from soft pull-on Coverts to derby-tested RD Wristsavers and the Bumsaver padded shorts. Collaborations with roller names like Barbie Patin and GRLSWIRL show how deep the brand runs in roller culture. Riders choose Triple Eight for simple, proven protection that fits well and keeps them skating.
FAQs
What size Wristsaver should I get?
Measure around your knuckles and match it to the chart: JR is 6–7in, S 7–8in, M 8–9in and L 9–10in. If you are between sizes, Triple 8 recommends going up a size.
What size Wristsaver for kids?
Most younger kids fit the JR, which suits a 6–7in knuckle measurement. Bigger kids and teens often move into S. Measure their hand, as hand size varies a lot by age.
Can I wear Wristsavers under snowboard gloves?
They are made for skating, but plenty of riders wear slim wrist guards under roomy snow gloves or mitts. Check your gloves fit over the splints without cutting off circulation. If they are too tight, size your gloves up.
How do I care for my Wristsavers?
Air dry them after every session so the mesh and foam do not stay damp. Triple 8 does not publish washing instructions, so if you hand wash them use cool water and mild soap and keep them away from direct heat.
Should I replace wrist guards after a big fall?
Check the splints after any heavy slam. If a splint is cracked or bent, replace the pair, as it will not support your wrist the same way next time.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
