The Alternator FX Splitboard takes the shape that made the solid Alternator FX a do-it-all freeride weapon and cuts it in half for the skin track. Nitro calls it the most capable ATV splitboard they make, and it's built for riders who want to earn their lines and still ride them properly on the way down.

Trüe Camber, an 8/10 flex and a Powerlite poplar core with carbon tape give it real drive and edge hold on firm, steep faces. The SplitGrip Core Profile is tuned for traction on the climb, the Sintered Speed Formula II base glides for days on long approaches, and the split hardware (custom tip and tail locks, forged T775 aluminium hooks, Nitro x Kohla skin attachment) is built to lock up tight when it's time to drop in.

Best for: advanced riders heading into the backcountry who want one splitboard that tours efficiently and rides like a proper freeride board on the descent.

What size Alternator FX Splitboard do I need?
Start with the length you'd ride on a solid freeride board. The 158 is rated by Nitro for riders around 60 to 80kg. Heavier riders, or anyone touring with a big pack, can lean toward the top of that range. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293.

Does it come with skins?
Skins aren't listed as included. Nitro designs the board around fitted Kohla skins that use the Nitro x Kohla tip and tail attachment, so grab a matching set for the cleanest fit.

What bindings work with a splitboard?
You need a splitboard binding and interface (puck) system, not a standard resort binding. Ask us and we'll match bindings and hardware to the board.

How is it different from the solid Alternator FX?
Same directional shape, Trüe Camber, 8/10 flex, Powerlite core and Speed Formula II base. The split adds the SplitGrip Core Profile for climbing traction and the touring hardware, so it's the pick if you're skinning for your turns.
