Flux XV Snowboard Binding 2026 | Metallic Grey
Flux XV in Metallic Grey: Stiff, Precise Freeride Control.
The Flux XV is Flux's core freeride binding, rated stiff and aimed at advanced to expert riders who spend more time on the mountain than in the park. In Metallic Grey it has a clean, understated finish.
A Transfer Baseplate in a nylon and fibreglass blend drives power to the edge, the W-Props highback uses two rods on the back for torsional support, and the Boost FootOn cushioning softens the hits when you land hard on firm snow.
The Tech and What It Does on the Hill
✅ Transfer Baseplate: a nylon and fibreglass blend for direct, responsive power transfer
✅ W-Props Highback: two rods on the back of the highback add torsional support for heelside control at speed
✅ Super Carbon Blend: carbon blended into the build for added stiffness and response
✅ Redux lean adjuster and Micro Adjuster: fine tune forward lean in 2.5 degree steps
✅ Slide Plate: a low friction plate for easier boot entry
✅ Boost FootOn: cushioning 4mm higher than the standard FootOn, plus an adjustable toe and heel cushion
✅ Titanium screws: light, strong hardware
Best for: advanced to expert riders who want a stiff, precise freeride binding for steeps, fast carving and variable terrain.
Built for Australian Conditions
Australian freeride days mean firm, wind-affected snow up top at Thredbo and Hotham. A stiff binding with a supportive highback holds an edge when it is scraped and fast, and the Boost FootOn cushioning saves your knees on the chatter.
Setup Tips from the Shop
Set your forward lean with the micro adjuster and ride a few laps before adding more. Centre your boot so the toe and heel overhang are even. We will set it up free when you buy in store.
Not for you if: you want a soft, playful park binding or you are still progressing. Browse our men's snowboard bindings and use the filters to find a softer flex in your size.

FAQs
How stiff is the Flux XV?
Flux rates the XV stiff. It's built for advanced to expert riders who want precise, powerful response for freeride and fast all-mountain riding.
What size Flux XV do I need?
Flux sizing as we stock it: S fits roughly US 5 to 7.5, M fits US 7 to 9.5 and L fits US 9 and up. If you sit on the line, bring your boots into 435A Bridge Rd Richmond or call us on 03 9421 2293. Our binding size charts cover every brand we stock.
Is the XV good for park?
It can handle park laps, but it's a stiff freeride binding. If most of your riding is park, a softer binding will be more fun.
Will it fit my snowboard?
Send us your board model or bring it in and we will confirm the mount before you buy.

About Snowboard Bindings — Buying Guide
Bindings are the most underestimated part of your snowboard setup. Most riders spend weeks choosing a board and minutes choosing bindings — but bindings are the complete communication layer between your body and your board. Every turn you initiate, every edge you engage, every carve and press travels from your boots through your bindings to the board. Get this right and you'll never think about them again. Get it wrong and it's all you'll think about all day.
At Twelve Board Store we stock bindings from Burton, Ride, K2, Nitro, Flux, Salomon, Jones, Rome, Bent Metal and Nidecker — covering traditional strap, Burton Step On® and Supermatic rear-entry systems across all price points and riding styles.
Sizing — every brand is different: Boot size drives binding size, but S/M/L/XL means something different across every brand. Burton Small runs US 3–6. Flux Small runs US 4–6. Nitro Small runs US 5–6. Never assume your size is the same brand to brand — check the sizing chart for each binding before you buy. When you're between sizes, go smaller. A snug binding fits better than a loose one every time.
Systems: Traditional strap bindings work with every boot and offer the widest range of options and price points. Burton Step On® requires specific compatible Burton boots — three contact points click in when you step on the board, no straps, completely different experience for resort riders doing laps. Supermatic rear-entry (Nidecker OG, Nidecker LT, Bent Metal Lightning) folds the highback down for faster entry without the boot compatibility requirement of Step On.
Setup matters: Once you have the right binding, set it up correctly. Boot centred toe-to-heel over the board edge. Toe strap centred across the widest part of your toe box — not on your toes. Ankle strap centred across the top of your ankle. Straps firm but not crushing. If you need to over-tighten to stop heel lift, the binding is too large.
Not sure which binding suits your setup? Call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us at 435A Bridge Road Richmond, or contact us online. We'll match you to the right binding for your boot, your board and how you ride.
