Arbor Bamboo Fish Longboard Complete | 37"
The classic Fish, finished in carbonised bamboo.
The Arbor Bamboo Fish is the 37" pintail longboard from Arbor's Bamboo series. It's made for relaxed cruising and flowing, lower-speed carves, and suits new riders and anyone wanting a stable, good-looking board for getting around town.
It shares the Fish shape, 26" wheelbase and mellow flex, but swaps the artist graphic for a carbonised bamboo ply over sustainably sourced Canadian maple for a rich, natural finish. Paris Reverse 150mm trucks and Arbor's Easyrider Mosh 65mm 78a wheels keep turns smooth and the roll easy, with recycled glass Re-Grit griptape on top.

About Arbor Collective
Arbor was founded in November 1995 by Bob Carlson and the late Chris Jensen, two friends living in Venice, California. They set out to build boards that respected the places they rode, launching with snowboards that used sustainably sourced wood topsheets and cores and less plastic. Arbor describes itself as the first traditional action sports brand founded to be mindful of the planet, and skateboards followed a few years later. Its Returning Roots program funds reforestation in Hawaii, where Koa wood was the brand's signature material for years.
Bob Carlson still runs Arbor today, and the brand has grown into a collective of riders, artists and makers. Its skate range is built from sustainably sourced Canadian maple, rolls on Arbor's own Easyrider wheels, and comes as Certified Completes, with every part chosen to suit each shape. Add a long-running artist series and you get boards that ride well, look great and are made with care.
FAQs
What is the Arbor Bamboo Fish best for?
Relaxed cruising and flowing, lower-speed carves. The pintail shape, long 26" wheelbase and mellow flex make it smooth and comfortable around the neighbourhood, along bike paths and down to the beach. The carbonised bamboo ply adds a natural, premium finish. It isn't built for downhill speed or tricks.
Is a 37" longboard the right size for me?
For most teens and adults, yes. 37" is a compact longboard: long enough for a relaxed stance and stable carves, short enough to carry and store easily. If you want something smaller and more nimble, look at a 30" to 33" cruiser. Taller riders or anyone chasing more stability for longer pushes can go 38" to 42".
Is the Bamboo Fish good for beginners?
Yes. It's one of the friendliest shapes for new riders. The long wheelbase keeps it stable, the soft 65mm wheels are forgiving on rough ground, and the Paris reverse kingpin trucks turn smoothly and predictably. Start on a flat, smooth path and build up from there.
What's the difference between drop-through and top-mount?
A top-mount board, like the Fish, has the trucks bolted underneath the deck, so you stand a little higher and get more direct leverage over the trucks for responsive, carvy turns. A drop-through board has the trucks mounted through the deck, so it sits lower, which makes pushing and foot-braking easier and adds stability at speed. For cruising and carving at relaxed speeds, top mount feels livelier and more connected.
Can I commute on the Bamboo Fish?
Yes, for short to medium trips. The 65mm 78a wheels roll well and soak up cracks and rough footpaths, and the long wheelbase keeps it calm when you're pushing. It's a top mount, so it sits a bit higher than a drop-through: fine for most commutes, but a drop-through or drop deck makes very long pushes easier.
Does it come ready to ride?
Yes. It's a Certified Arbor Complete, so it arrives fully assembled with griptape, trucks, wheels and bearings installed. Just check the truck tightness suits you and go ride.
