K2 Bond Snowboard Binding 2027 | Big Buck
K2 Bond Big Buck 2027: Team-Built Freestyle Binding in Charcoal and Burgundy.
The Big Buck K2 Bond is for freestyle riders who want something a little different from black or white. It's the same 2027 Bond that K2 built with its team riders Gabe Ferguson, Parker Szumowski and Antti Jussila, sitting at 7/10 on K2's flex scale and aimed squarely at park laps, jibs and playful riding across the mountain.
The Bond rides light and loose. Its Module Chassis lets the board flex naturally, so presses feel smooth and rail slides don't turn twitchy, while the softer Team Highback gives you room to tweak grabs. The GT1 ankle strap moulds around your boot and moves with you rather than clamping down. Underfoot, a This Grips! basepad and Harshmellow pods in a Sugarcane EVA footbed calm the hits. Big Buck is charcoal with burgundy tones, a subtle step away from the usual colours.
The Tech and What It Does on the Hill
✅ Module Chassis: keeps the board's natural flex alive underfoot, so presses and butters feel loose and predictable
✅ MultiMount ankle strap positioning: move the strap to suit your boot and how you like it to sit
✅ Team Highback: a softer highback that lets you twist and tweak, with enough backbone to stand on a heelside turn
✅ GT1 Ankle Strap: shapes itself around different boots and moves with you instead of locking you rigid
✅ Wrap Toe Strap (TPU): wear it over the forefoot or pull it up onto the toe cap, whichever holds you better
✅ This Grips! basepad: K2's rubber compound that soaks up vibration and takes load off your joints on hard landings
✅ Sugarcane EVA footbed with Harshmellow pods: grip and cushioning underfoot when you case a jump or land flat
✅ Aluminium fixed-pivot ratchets: positive clicks and a quick release at the top of the run
✅ Toolless forward lean 0° to 7° plus a forward lean block: change your setup on the hill without hunting for a screwdriver
Best for: intermediate to expert riders who spend their days in the park, jibbing, hitting side hits and riding the whole mountain with a freestyle mindset, and want a snowboard binding that lets them move.
Built for Australian Conditions
In Australia the park can go from frozen to soup in a few hours. First laps at Thredbo or Hotham often mean hard, scraped jumps, and by mid afternoon the landings at Perisher are heavy slush. The Bond's cushioned footbed takes the bite out of icy landings, and its playful flex keeps slushy laps fun. If you're chasing pow in Japan or Canada, it's just as happy popping off natural features and riding tree lines.
Setup Tips from the Shop
For park riding, start with the forward lean low or at zero and add a little at a time if you want more heelside response. Set the heelcup so your boot sits centred over the board, with toe and heel overhang roughly even; it adjusts with a #3 Phillips head screwdriver. Slide the ankle strap through the MultiMount positions until the padding sits square across your ankle, then decide whether the toe strap works best over the top or as a toe cap with your boots. We'll mount and set them up free when you buy in store.
Not for you if: you want a stiff, precise binding for carving hard at speed and freeride terrain. Browse our men's snowboard bindings and filter for a more responsive binding that suits your size.

FAQs
Which K2 Bond size should I choose?
K2 lists the Medium for US Men's 6 to 10 and the Large for US Men's 10 to 15. If you wear a US 10 you're right on the crossover, so bring your boots to 435A Bridge Rd Richmond or call 03 9421 2293 and we'll check. Our binding size charts cover the details for every brand.
What colour is the K2 Bond Big Buck?
Big Buck is a charcoal binding with burgundy tones. It's a little warmer and more interesting than plain black, but it still matches most boards and boots.
Who designed the K2 Bond?
K2 developed the Bond with team riders Gabe Ferguson, Parker Szumowski and Antti Jussila, and positions it as the most freestyle-focused binding in its men's collection.
Can I wear the K2 Bond toe strap as a toe cap?
Yes. The TPU Wrap Toe Strap can sit across the top of the boot like a conventional strap or pull up over the toe as a cap. Try both and see which holds your boot best.
Does the K2 Bond fit my board?
It uses K2's Multi-Compatible Disc on the Module Chassis. Let us know your board model and we'll confirm the mount before you buy.
About K2
K2 started in Washington State in 1962 and has been a fixture of American snowboarding ever since, with a freeride streak running through the whole range. Their bindings are some of the best-engineered on our wall, and they're putting in the work on sustainability too: K2 says 39% of the electricity used to make its bindings comes from solar, and the bindings ship in fully recyclable boxes made from 95% FSC-certified recycled material instead of plastic.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
