Gullwing Sidewinder II Trucks 10" | Rasta
Two kingpins. Twice the carve.
The Gullwing Sidewinder II is a carving truck with a patented double-kingpin design, here in the 10" size in Rasta. Two pivot points let the hanger turn far more than a standard truck, so you can carve harder, deeper and smoother. It suits cruising, pumping and surf-style carving on full-size longboards, cruisers and wide boards.
The hanger is 356 aluminium with a chromoly axle, a proven combination for strength, and the knurled kingpins stay locked in place. An 89a cone and barrel bushing combo keeps the turn smooth, and the embossed baseplate is pocketed to save weight. It's built for carving, not speed: the extra turn makes it twitchy at high speed.

What Size Board Does It Fit?
As a general rule, longboard trucks suit decks within about 1/2" either side of the axle width. Gullwing longboard trucks come in 9" and 10" sizes; these are the 10".
| Truck size | Hanger width | Best board width |
|---|---|---|
| 9" | About 158mm | About 8.5"–9.5" (cruisers, smaller longboards) |
| 10" | 184mm (7.25") | About 9.5"–10.5" (full-size longboards) |
Gullwing names its sizes by axle width, so a 10" truck has a 10" axle.
About Gullwing Trucks
Gullwing Trucks was formed in October 1976, with Mike Williams and Joe Lynch among its founding crew, and today it is based in San Diego, California. Its first truck was built for slalom and downhill with a split-axle design, and Gullwing says it was the first company to introduce one. It has been building trucks ever since.
Today Gullwing focuses on longboard and cruiser trucks, from the surfy, double-kingpin Sidewinder II to the reverse-kingpin Reverse. Riders choose Gullwing for proven 356 aluminium hangers, chromoly axles and turning that feels fun from the very first push.
FAQs
What size board do the Gullwing Sidewinder II 10" trucks fit?
Boards about 9.5" to 10.5" wide, which covers most full-size longboards and wide cruisers. For smaller cruisers around 8.5"–9.5", the Sidewinder II also comes in 9".
How does a double-kingpin truck ride?
It turns much more than a standard truck for the same lean, so the board feels surfy and easy to pump. That makes it great for carving and cruising at low to medium speed. At high speed it can feel twitchy, so it isn't the pick for downhill.
How tight should I set the Sidewinder II?
Start with both kingpin nuts just snug and even, then adjust in small steps. Tighten both a little if the board feels too loose or wobbly, and back them off for more carve. Keeping both kingpins at similar tension keeps the turn smooth.
Do I need risers with Sidewinder II trucks?
Usually yes on a top-mount board without wheel wells, because they turn so far. A 1/8" riser suits wheels up to about 65mm, and 1/4" helps with 65–75mm wheels. On drop-through decks with wheel wells you may not need any.
Do these come as a pair?
Yes. You get two trucks, enough for one board. Wheels, bearings and hardware are sold separately.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
