Globe Conical Cruiser Wheels Clear Amber | 70mm/83a
A smooth 70mm conical wheel for cruising and carving.
The Globe Conical Cruiser is a popular cruiser and longboard wheel shape for smooth rides, here in 70mm, 83a Clear Amber. It suits cruisers, longboards and carving boards, and anyone who wants big, comfortable wheels for getting around.
A conical shape gives a wide 47mm riding surface for grip and stability, and the stone-ground finish gives traction from the first push. The 70mm size rolls over cracks and rough roads easily, while 83a urethane keeps it smooth and lively for carving.

About Globe
Globe is a Melbourne skate brand through and through. Brothers Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill grew up skating in Melbourne, and in 1985 they started importing skateboards out of Fitzroy, a business that became Hardcore Enterprises. The Globe brand itself was born in 1994, starting with skate shoes. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, moved into its Port Melbourne headquarters, and launched its own line of skateboards, cruisers and longboards in 2010.
Today Globe is still led by the Hill family, with Matt Hill as CEO, and still based in Port Melbourne. Its cruisers and longboards are known for epoxy-pressed maple decks, soft Globe cruiser wheels and bold, art-led graphics. The same cruiser wheels that come on Globe completes are sold separately, so you can freshen up or soften up any setup.
FAQs
What are Globe Conical Cruiser wheels best for?
Cruising and carving on longboards and cruisers. The 70mm size rolls over rough roads, and the stone-ground 47mm riding surface grips from the first push.
What does 83a mean?
83a is a medium-soft cruiser hardness on the A scale. It's smooth over cracks and rough footpaths but a little firmer and livelier than a 78a wheel, so it still feels responsive for carving and the odd trick.
Do I need risers for 70mm wheels?
On most drop-through longboards and cruisers with wheel wells, no. On a topmount longboard, a 1/8" to 1/4" riser is usually needed. On a standard popsicle deck, 70mm is too big without tall risers.
Do they come with bearings?
No, they're sold as a set of 4 wheels without bearings. You'll need 8 standard 608 skate bearings (2 per wheel), which fit every standard skateboard wheel.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
