Bronson G3 Bearings
Bronson's flagship bearing, built to stay fast after hard landings.
Bronson G3s are the flagship bearing from Bronson Speed Co., designed for today's skateboarding. They're a strong, fast all-rounder for street, park and transition, and a big step up from stock bearings that come on most completes.
Deep groove raceways let the balls sit deeper, cutting side impact damage, while micro groove raceway surfaces help oil spread for a faster spin. The Max Impact cage keeps the balls precisely spaced and Balls Out technology stops the shields and cage touching the balls on impact. Straight Edge frictionless shields resist popping off and keep oil in and dirt out, and high speed ceramic oil fights moisture and rust. Each set ships in nitrogen-filled shrink wrap with spacers and washers.

About Bronson
Bronson Speed Co. is the bearing brand from NHS, the Santa Cruz, California company behind Santa Cruz Skateboards, Independent Trucks and OJ Wheels. It was built around one job: making bearings designed for the impacts, side loads and dirt that modern skateboarding throws at them.
Bronson is known for its G3 platform and its shield-free Raw bearings. Deep groove raceways, the Max Impact cage and Balls Out design are all aimed at keeping a bearing fast after hard landings, and every set ships nitrogen sealed so it is fresh when you open it. Riders pick Bronson for strong, quick bearings with real skate engineering behind them.
FAQs
Do these fit all skateboard wheels?
Yes. They're standard 608 size skateboard bearings with an 8mm bore, so they fit almost every skateboard, cruiser and longboard wheel on a standard 8mm axle. Each wheel takes two bearings, so this set of 8 does all four wheels on one board.
What does G3 mean? Is it an ABEC rating?
No. G3 is the third generation of Bronson's own bearing design, not a precision rating. ABEC only measures machining tolerances for industrial use, so Bronson engineers for skateboard impacts and side loads instead, with deep raceways, a tougher cage and shields that don't touch the balls.
How do I clean and look after G3 bearings?
Pop the Straight Edge shields off with a pin, flush the bearings in citrus degreaser or isopropyl alcohol and let them dry completely. Add a couple of drops of skate bearing oil, refit the shields and spin them in. Keep them dry and clean them whenever they sound gritty.
Do I need spacers?
The set includes 4 spacers and 8 washers, so you've got everything. Spacers sit on the axle between the two bearings in each wheel, so the bearings stay lined up when you tighten the axle nut. Lots of street skaters ride without them, but they help bearings spin freely and stop them being crushed if the nut is over-tightened.
Are Bronson G3s good for street skating?
Yes. They're designed around impacts, with deep raceways, a tough cage and Balls Out design to keep them fast after jumps and drops. They suit street, park and bowl equally well.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
