YES Standard Snowboard | 2027
True Versatility, Unlocked
The YES Standard 2027 is the board that defines the modern all-mountain category. Built around the "Go Anywhere, Do Anything" philosophy that YES was founded on, the Standard blends precision carving power, freestyle capability, and freeride stability into one refined platform. This isn't a compromise board — it's a performance-driven directional volume twin engineered for riders who demand more from every turn.
The CamRock 3-4-3 profile delivers powerful camber control underfoot with rocker at the tip and tail for lift and forgiveness. The Directional Volume Twin shape adds volume in the nose for float without tapered width, keeping the centered stance feel and symmetrical flex that makes it so versatile riding regular or switch. MidBite steps the sidecut inward 1.5mm between the bindings — a single long disruption that cheats the effective waist width narrower for quicker edge-to-edge response, while maintaining the wider platform at the tip and tail for pop, float, and stable landings. SlamBack inserts give you a dedicated powder setback without needing a different board.
The Torrent Core uses 20% Poplar and 80% Paulownia — lighter than a standard 50/50 blend, with Paulownia significantly reducing weight while maintaining strength and durability. Triax fibreglass woven in three directions provides torsional stiffness and responsive edge hold at speed. Freestyle L Fiber Reinforcement places carbon stringers in an L-shape from the insert pack to the tip, enhancing nose stiffness, torsional response, and stability. Forever Flex manufacturing stabilises the flex and rocker profile for the board's lifetime.

MidBite Technology
MidBite steps the sidecut inward 1.5mm between the bindings — a single long disruption that cheats the effective waist width narrower for quicker edge-to-edge response and stronger edge leverage. From your bindings out to the end of the sidecut, the board maintains a wider width for float in pow and a stable platform for popping, spinning, and landing. The result is sharper carving precision and stronger grip on firm snow without the board feeling overly aggressive or narrow underfoot.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the YES Standard and the YES Basic?
The Basic is the entry-level true twin — symmetrical shape with no volume shift, Full Poplar core, Biax fibreglass, UnderBite edges, and a medium flex (6/10). It's built for park progression and all-mountain versatility. The Standard is the next-level all-mountain board — Directional Volume Twin shape with added nose volume for float, Torrent Core (lighter 80/20 Paulownia/Poplar blend), Triax fibreglass, Freestyle L Fiber Reinforcement, MidBite edges, and SlamBack inserts. Both are medium flex but the Standard has a more advanced construction and a shape specifically designed for riders who push into more varied and demanding terrain, particularly powder and off-piste. The Standard is the obvious step up when you've outgrown the Basic or want a board that does more in all conditions.
What bindings work best with the YES Standard?
The Standard's medium flex (6/10) and all-mountain character suit a medium flex binding that can match its versatility. From our range we'd recommend the YES. Select, Nitro Team, Burton Cartel, or Flux DS — all strong pairings for a medium-to-stiff all-mountain board. The YES. Select is the natural pairing given the shared brand philosophy; the Nitro Team leans more playful; the Burton Cartel and Flux DS offer more precision carving feel. Is the Standard a good board for Australian resorts?
Yes — the Directional Volume Twin shape and MidBite edges are particularly well suited to Australian resort conditions. MidBite gives you edge hold and carving precision on the firm and groomed runs that dominate most Australian resort days at Buller, Falls Creek, and Thredbo, without making the board feel catchy or aggressive. The SlamBack inserts are genuinely useful on the good powder days that Australian resorts deliver, letting you shift your stance back for float without needing a different board. It's a strong one-board quiver for riders who ride a variety of conditions across an Australian season.
