Great quality product. Liners are amazing. Recommend using beeswax on leather palm to keep it waterproof. Holds up in wet weather

Apres and Work - Good Boots

Been running the MTE boots for years lift ops and maintenance, better than Sorrels now that they've got a zip side!

Quality base layer

These Burton base layer pants are the best! Super comfy and a good fit.

Nice sized day pack for short trips and staying light. Can't wait to get up in the mountains to use it.

Fat boy from 12 Boards

I absolutely love the bike and use it nearly everyday.
I’m 67 years old but it’s a bit like going back to having dirt bikes in the mid seventies! Also 12 boards was easy to deal with. A great shop.

Adding another to my collection, best layer for 1st or 2nd layer.

Belts are amazing, better price than direct from Exway (Don't deal with Exway) these belts thicker and more durable than the OEM ones too! Highly recommend.

Globe Chromantic Cruiser | Beach Bum — 33"

Globe Chromantic in Beach Bum. 33" Resin-7 hard rock maple swallow-tail cruiser, mellow concave with kicktail, Tensor alloy trucks, 62mm 83a conical wheels, paint dip and laser-etched art. Built for the concrete coast.

The Chromantic is Globe's medium-length surf-inspired cruiser — a swallow-tail shape that pulls its lines straight from the water and puts them to work on pavement. At 33" x 9.5" it gives you a wide, planted stance with a wheelbase that flows through carves without fighting you. The Beach Bum colourway leans into exactly what the name suggests — paint dip construction with laser-etched art on the bottom that looks like it belongs propped against a beach shack wall between sessions.

Resin-7 hard rock maple means an epoxy-pressed deck that's lighter and more durable than standard water-based builds, with a mellow side-to-side concave and kicktail that keeps the ride approachable without dumbing it down. The Tensor alloy trucks are tuned for the width of this shape — smooth through longer drawn-out carves, responsive enough to feel alive on tighter terrain. The 62mm 83a conical wheels are slightly firmer than the standard Globe cruiser spec, giving you a bit more speed retention and roll without sacrificing the ability to handle real street surfaces.

Globe has been designing and manufacturing skateboards in Australia since 1994 — over 30 years of in-house development, not imported spec sheets or outsourced builds. They press their own decks, make their own trucks, and engineer their own urethane. The Chromantic series is where Globe's surf culture roots surface most clearly, and the Beach Bum makes that connection without trying too hard.

Why Ride the Globe Chromantic Beach Bum?

  • Swallow-Tail Surf-Inspired Shape A 33" x 9.5" mid-length silhouette that translates surf-style flow onto concrete; wide enough for a confident stance, responsive enough to carve with purpose.
  • Resin-7 Hard Rock Maple Construction Epoxy-pressed maple deck is lighter, stronger, and more resistant to delamination than standard water-based pressed boards; built for daily use without losing integrity underfoot.
  • Mellow Concave with Kicktail A forgiving side-to-side concave keeps your feet comfortable over longer sessions, while the kicktail adds enough response to navigate obstacles and keep the ride dynamic.
  • Tensor Alloy Trucks — Lifetime Guarantee Globe's own alloy trucks matched to the 9.5" deck width for stable, flowing carves; high-rebound urethane bushings and grade-8 kingpins, backed by a lifetime warranty.
  • 62mm 83a Conical Cruiser Wheels Slightly firmer 83a urethane gives better speed retention and roll efficiency than softer specs; still soft enough to handle cracked pavement and rough surfaces without drama.
  • Globe ABEC-7 Bearings Precision bearings standard across all Globe completes; fast-spinning and low-maintenance, built to handle daily riding in real-world conditions.
  • Paint Dip with Laser-Etched Art Beach Bum-specific construction with a painted lower section and laser-etched graphics on the bottom — a finish that looks deliberate, not printed-on; holds up better to knocks than standard ink-on-maple graphics.
  • Black Griptape with Top Print Full-coverage black grip with top-deck print; functional where it counts and visually consistent with the Beach Bum colourway from tail to nose.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between a longboard and a cruiser skateboard? A: A longboard is built for stability — longer distances, sweeping carves, and a planted ride. A cruiser is more compact and portable, with a kicktail for navigating urban terrain and tighter spaces. The choice comes down to how much board you want underfoot and where you're taking it. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll sort it out.

Q: What size should I choose? A: Shorter boards are easier to carry and more manoeuvrable. Longer boards are usually wider, offering more stability and a surf-style feel underfoot. Go shorter for portability, longer for a more flowing and planted ride. Give us a call on 03 9421 2293 and we'll point you in the right direction.
