Because you need to ride switch as naturally as your regular stance. A true twin has an identical nose and tail with a centred stance. A directional board mounted in a duck stance is not the same thing and will feel different landing switch.

Typically 3 to 6 out of 10, with 4 to 5 the sweet spot for most riders. Softer absorbs landings and presses onto rails easily but loses pop off the lip. Stiffer gives more pop but fights you on features. Rail riders should go softer, jump riders stiffer.

Most park boards use a flat base for maximum edge contact on rails and presses, or a mellow rocker for easier butters and more forgiving takeoffs. Full camber gives maximum pop off the lip but is more demanding and less forgiving of sloppy landings.

Most park riders go 2 to 4cm shorter than their all-mountain board. The shorter length makes spins easier to initiate and the board quicker between tricks.
