Jones Women's Stratos Snowboard | 2027
Take It Everywhere
The Jones Women's Stratos 2027 is a hybrid all-mountain board built with the body of a directional freeride board and the spirit of a freestyle board — made for riders who want to charge groomers, float in powder, and still feel lively and energetic across the whole mountain. This is a board for women who ride with intent and don't want to compromise.
A tapered directional freeride shape with 10mm of taper sinks the tail naturally in powder, keeping the nose floating without having to fight for it. The camber-dominant Directional Rocker profile delivers more nose rocker than tail, with camber running from the front binding through the tail — powerful edge hold and precision exactly where it counts. The 3D Contour Base 3.0 features 7mm of spoon bevel in both nose and tail for fast glide and fluid turn initiation in any condition. Traction Tech 3.0 locks in three contact points per edge for maximum grip when conditions firm up. Float Pack inserts give you a setback stance option for the deepest powder days.
The Power Core uses triple-density Bamboo, Paulownia, and Poplar — bamboo stringers enhance torsional stiffness and edge response while Paulownia keeps the weight down. BComp Carbon/Flax Stringers deliver explosive pop with the flax component absorbing chatter — the Swiss-engineered carbon/flax system that gives the Women's Stratos its characteristic energetic, lively response. The textured ECO-Plastic Topsheet is bio-plastic from Castor beans — ultralight, chip-resistant, and snow-repellent. The Sintered 9900 Base is the premium UHMW-PE and carbon base for maximum speed and wax absorption.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Women's Stratos compare to the Women's Twin Sister?
The Twin Sister is the all-mountain freestyle board — directional twin shape, CamRock profile (camber underfoot with rocker tips), medium flex (6/10), and a character tuned equally for park, groomers, and side hits with a setback-optional insert pack. The Women's Stratos is the all-mountain freeride board — more tapered, more directional, camber-dominant rocker, Float Pack inserts for setback-only, and a mid-stiff flex (7/10) tuned for charging, powder performance, and aggressive all-mountain riding. Both ride confidently everywhere but with different priorities: if you split your time between resort freestyle and freeride, the Twin Sister; if you primarily freeride, chase powder days, and want a board that rewards aggressive riding, the Stratos.
Is the Women's Stratos suitable for intermediate riders?
It suits riders at the upper end of intermediate who are pushing into advanced territory. The 7/10 flex and camber-dominant profile reward riders who can generate speed and apply consistent pressure — at lower ability levels it can feel demanding. If you're confidently linking turns across all terrain and starting to push into steeper and more varied conditions, the Stratos is an excellent step up. If you're still building fundamentals, the Twin Sister (6/10, CamRock) or Dream Weaver 2.0 (friendlier flex, rocker-dominant) is a better fit. Not sure where you sit? Is the Women's Stratos a good board for Australian resorts?
Yes — and the 2027 spec upgrades make it even better suited. The Sintered 9900 base is notably faster than the 8000 on hardpack and groomed runs, which make up the majority of riding at Australian resorts. Traction Tech 3.0 delivers the edge grip needed for the firm, icy, and wind-affected conditions common at Buller, Falls Creek, and Thredbo. The BComp Carbon/Flax Stringers keep the board lively and responsive in the variable snow Australian resorts often serve up mid-run. On the good powder days, the 10mm taper and 3D Contour Base 3.0 do exactly what they're designed for. It's a genuinely versatile one-board quiver for Australian conditions.
