The Evolve Bamboo GTR Series 2 is Evolve's flagship flexible-deck electric skateboard — and the 2-in-1 is the version that makes the decision easy. You get the full All Terrain setup and the full Street setup in one box, ready to swap in minutes. Street carving one morning, dirt trail the next afternoon. Same board, completely different ride.
Under the 3-ply bamboo and 2-ply fibreglass deck, the GTR Series 2 runs dual 3000W brushless sensored 6368 motors — 6000W combined — driven by an Australian-designed Bluetooth FOC motor controller that delivers instant, ultra-smooth power with fully adjustable acceleration and braking curves. Top speed is 38km/h. Range is up to 30km per charge in All Terrain mode, and up to 50km in Street mode. A swappable battery system means you can carry a spare for back-to-back long rides or pack a travel-compatible battery for flights.
The deck is handmade from layered bamboo and fibreglass — flexible enough to absorb road chatter and carve like a surfboard, with a segmented battery enclosure that protects electronics through the full range of flex. Dual-finned CNC channels in the forged aluminium housing dissipate heat so the motors stay cool and consistent at full power. Evolve Super Carve Trucks with an adjustable drop-through wheelbase give you a stable, low-slung feel at speed and the ability to turn on a dime when you need to.
The Evolve Phaze Remote is CNC-machined from solid aluminium with a dual-trigger design for throttle and braking, plus an OLED screen showing speed, battery level, ride mode, diagnostics, and lighting control. Pair it with the Explore By Evolve App to customise acceleration and braking curves, track rides with GPS, join global leaderboards, control Prism Strip lighting, and receive over-the-air firmware updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to swap between AT and Street setups?
A few minutes with the included Y-tool. The wheel swap is straightforward — swap the wheels and trucks, adjust your stance if needed, and ride. Most riders do it in under five minutes once they've done it a couple of times. We'll show you the process in store when you pick up your board.
Can I take the GTR Series 2 on a plane?
The standard 504Wh battery exceeds most airline carry-on limits (typically 100Wh without approval, 160Wh with airline approval). Evolve offers a separate airline-friendly travel battery option that fits within most airline requirements — ask us about availability. Always confirm with your airline before travelling.
Is the GTR Series 2 suitable for beginners?
It's a high-performance board with serious power — ECO mode and app-adjustable curves make it approachable, but new riders should expect a learning curve. We recommend starting in ECO mode, dialling back the acceleration curve in the app, and wearing full safety gear. Demo rides are available 7 days a week at our Melbourne showroom so you can get a feel for the board before you commit. Most riders with any skateboard or board sport background get comfortable quickly.
How does the Bamboo GTR compare to the Carbon GTR Series 2?
Both share the same dual 3000W motors, 504Wh battery, FOC controller, and Phaze Remote. The difference is the deck: the Bamboo uses a flexible bamboo + fibreglass composite for a softer, more forgiving ride with natural flex; the Carbon uses a stiffer full-carbon deck for a more rigid, locked-in feel at speed.
