Fatboy Harlem V3 Electric Bike
Step-Through Ease. Smarter Power. Built for Everyday.
The Fatboy Harlem V3 is the most accessible electric bike in the Fatboy range — and the most refined version yet. Built around a low step-through frame and an upright, relaxed riding position, it's the natural choice for commuters, school runs, family riding, and anyone who wants the full Fatboy experience without a high crossbar in the way. The V3 doesn't just carry the Harlem's easygoing character forward — it backs it up with Fatboy's most advanced technology to date.
Fatboy Harlem V3 Step-Through Electric Fat Bike | Available in Performance and Ultra
The Fatboy Harlem V3 is the bike Fatboy built for everyone — and means it. The step-through frame welcomes smaller riders, first-timers, commuters, and families, while the latest V3 technology makes sure accessible never means underpowered. At its core is the FBX Power Platform, developed alongside Bafang, connecting the battery, motor, and controller into one unified intelligent ecosystem. The result is smoother, more consistent power across all nine assist levels, better efficiency, and a riding feel that's natural and confidence-inspiring from the first push.
The V3 suspension is Fatboy's own proprietary design — an industry first for fat-tyre e-bikes, built from custom tooling engineered specifically for the V3's weight and geometry, with preload, compression, and rebound tuning front and rear. Dial it in to your weight and preferred ride feel, and it makes a real difference on longer commutes or when carrying a passenger. Stopping power comes from custom 4-piston calipers with metal sintered pads and cooling fins, paired with heavy-duty 203mm discs now 2.9mm thick — consistent, controlled braking under any condition. Ergonomics were fully reconsidered for the V3: lower-profile seat, refined handlebar position, and an updated crank ratio that keeps pedalling smooth at any speed. Two variants, one great bike — choose the one that suits your state and your ambitions.

⚡ Performance vs Ultra — Which One Is Right for You?
The Harlem V3 Performance and Ultra share the same frame, the same industry-first suspension, the same 4-piston braking system, and the same FBX power platform. The difference is in the electrical system — and what that means for where you can ride and how the bike feels when you push it.
The Performance runs a 48V system delivering 95Nm of torque — plenty for everyday commuting, school runs, errands, and two-up riding across most of Australia. If you're outside NSW and want the full Harlem V3 experience at the best possible price, the Performance is the one.
The Ultra steps up to 52V and 100Nm, and adds UL2849 certification across the frame, battery and charger. That certification isn't just a sticker — it's what makes the Ultra legal to sell and ride in every Australian state, including NSW. Outside NSW it's the choice for riders who want the most capable version of the Harlem V3, more torque under load, and the confidence of riding Australia's most fully certified fat-tyre e-bike.
NSW customers: the Ultra is your model. The Performance cannot be sold in NSW due to state battery certification requirements introduced in 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Harlem V3 legal to ride on Australian roads?
Yes — when operated in pedal-assist mode restricted to 25km/h, both the Performance and Ultra meet Australian EPAC requirements and are legal for public road use. The motor cuts out at 25km/h and the twist throttle must be isolated on public roads — it's for private property use only. One important distinction: the Performance is not available for sale in NSW due to state battery certification requirements introduced in 2025. NSW customers must select the Ultra, which carries UL2849 certification and is available in all states. Regulations vary slightly by state so call us on 03 9421 2293 if you want clarity before purchasing.
What's the real-world range on the Harlem V3?
Real-world range varies based on rider weight, terrain, tyre pressure, temperature, and assist level. The FBX platform improves efficiency over older Fatboy systems, meaning both the 48V and 52V 20Ah Samsung batteries go further under equivalent conditions. In mixed city riding at moderate assist, expect 40–70km from either variant. For maximum range: use PAS 1–2 on flat sections, maintain recommended tyre pressure, and avoid repeated full-throttle starts. The Harlem V3 is tuned for relaxed everyday riding, so natural use tends to be efficient.
What's the difference between the Performance and the Ultra?
Same frame, same suspension, same brakes, same FBX platform — the Ultra steps up the electrical system. The 52V battery delivers 100Nm of torque versus 95Nm on the Performance's 48V system, and runs more efficiently under sustained load. The Ultra also carries UL2849 certification across frame, battery and charger, making it available in every Australian state including NSW. If you're in NSW the Ultra is your only option. Outside NSW, the Performance is excellent value — the Ultra is for riders who want the most capable version, or who simply want the fully certified model regardless of state.
Which variant should I buy — Performance or Ultra?
If you're in NSW: Ultra, no question. The Performance cannot be sold there. If you're outside NSW: the Performance covers everything most riders need — commuting, school runs, errands, two-up riding — at a sharper price. The Ultra earns its premium if you regularly ride two-up, tackle hills, carry loads, or simply want the most capable and fully certified version of the Harlem V3. Not sure? Call us on 03 9421 2293 or come into our Melbourne showroom and we'll sort it out in five minutes.
Which model should I choose — EN15194, Performance, or Ultra?
The Harlem V3 range covers three distinct needs. The EN15194 is the entry-level certified model — 250W, capped hard at 25km/h, cannot be unlocked, road-legal in all states. It's the right choice for pure commuting and riders who want the simplest compliance story. The Performance is the 500W step-up — more torque, full FBX platform, private property unlocking to 45km/h — available in all states except NSW. The Ultra matches the Performance's capability and adds UL2849 certification and an extra 5Nm of torque, making it available everywhere including NSW. Still unsure? We stock all three in our Melbourne showroom — come in and ride them back to back.
How does the Harlem V3 compare to the V2?
Both run a BAFANG motor and Samsung battery, so the fundamentals are familiar. The V3 upgrades are substantial: the FBX unified power platform for smoother delivery and password speed control, Fatboy's proprietary custom suspension with full preload/compression/rebound tuning versus the V2's standard front fork, upgraded 4-piston brakes with metal sintered pads and 2.9mm thick discs, and refined ergonomics throughout. The V2 remains available at a sharper clearance price for riders who don't need the latest technology. Both are in our Melbourne showroom.
