At the core is Bataleon's Triple Base Technology™ (3BT™) combined with SideKick™ uplift, which lifts the widest points of the board slightly off the snow. The Core Core construction uses full poplar with hardwood beech stringers running tip to tail along the insert zone, strengthening the board's backbone and adding pop without extra weight. Is the Feelbetter suitable for beginners or is it better for intermediates?
Both. The flex 3/10 rating and 3BT™ shaping make it genuinely forgiving for riders still building their basics — the reduced edge catch is especially noticeable when learning to link turns. It also has enough pop and shape to stay relevant as you progress into the intermediate level and start exploring more of the mountain, hitting small features, and carving groomers with more speed. Most riders get 2–3 seasons of progression out of the Feelbetter before they start feeling like they need something more demanding. For Australian resorts like Buller and Falls Creek where groomed blues and beginner areas dominate, it's a strong all-round choice.
What bindings pair best with the Feelbetter?
The Feelbetter uses a standard 2x4 insert pattern so it's compatible with the vast majority of bindings on the market. For a beginner to intermediate rider on this board, we'd recommend a soft to medium flex binding to match the board's character — the Burton Lexa, Nitro Fate, and YES. Vetta are all excellent matches we stock in-store. All three complement the Feelbetter's forgiving flex without overriding it. How do I choose the right size Feelbetter for my height and weight?
Use the rider weight column in the size chart as your primary guide — it's more accurate than height alone. If your weight falls between two sizes, consider your riding style: choose the smaller size for a more playful, easier-to-turn feel (better for park and freestyle); go with the larger size for more stability at speed (better for groomers and all-mountain). Boot size also matters — if you have a boot size US9 or larger, check that the waist width is sufficient to avoid toe and heel drag. All sizes of the Feelbetter have relatively narrow women's waist widths (23.6–24.4cm) so most women's boot sizes will be fine. If you're a US10+ or wide-foot, come in and we'll check the fit.
