Jones Twin Craft Snowboard | 2027
The Floaty Freestyle Powder Twin
The Jones TwinCraft 2027 is an all-new powder-focused directional twin with freestyle soul — the newest addition to the Jones Surf Series, designed by acclaimed surf shaper Chris Christenson. Built as a hybrid board that blends the performance of a volume-shifted powder shape with the fun freestyle characteristics of a twin, the TwinCraft is made for slashing pow, popping pillows, and tossing tricks wherever the mountain takes you.
The defining feature is the Surf Camber profile — Jones' Surf Series-specific camber tuning that delivers float and response across soft snow and mixed conditions. The extra-wide twin outline increases surface area for effortless float in powder, allowing you to ride a shorter board without sacrificing performance. The tight sidecut keeps turns quick and nimble for creative riding, while the 3D Flip Tips at nose and tail increase stability end-to-end and reduce hook-up in crust or variable snow. Combined with a medium flex and the wider platform, the TwinCraft creates a smooth, surfy feel that thrives in powder, side hits, and freestyle terrain across the whole mountain.
The volume-shifted design means you can size down 3–6cm from your regular board length and still get the float and stability of a longer board — the extra width compensates, and the result is a more playful, easier-to-turn package in soft snow without sacrificing the edge hold you need on firmer days.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the TwinCraft and the Hovercraft 2.0?
Both are volume-shifted, designed to be ridden shorter than your standard length. The Hovercraft 2.0 is a tapered directional shape with directional rocker — it's a freeride-first board tuned for charging, powder, and variable all-mountain terrain, and rides most naturally in one direction. The TwinCraft is a directional twin with Surf Camber — it's designed with freestyle DNA, rides well switch, and has a wider outline for float with a tight sidecut for nimble, creative turning. If you want a board primarily for aggressive freeride performance in all conditions, the Hovercraft 2.0. If you want a board that slashes pow while still feeling playful enough for tricks, side hits, and switch riding, the TwinCraft.
How much shorter should I ride the TwinCraft compared to my normal board?
The volume-shifted design — wider than a conventional board at the same length — means you get the float and stability of a longer board in a shorter, more nimble package. Most riders size down 3–6cm from their standard board length. Use the waist width as your guide — if you normally ride a 158 standard board, a 154 or 152 TwinCraft should give you similar float with better manoeuvrability. If you're unsure, call us on 03 9421 2293 and we'll work through sizing based on your weight and riding style.
Is the TwinCraft a good board for Australian resorts?
Yes — with the right expectations. The extra-wide platform and Surf Camber profile shine most on the powder days that Australian resorts do deliver, and the 3D Flip Tips help on the heavier, wetter Australian snow that can cause boards to hook up in variable conditions. On normal firm groomer days, the medium flex and full camber still give you solid edge hold — it's not a dedicated pow board that only works in deep snow. The key is sizing down: on a volume-shifted board, riding the right (shorter) size makes it fun and versatile on groomers, whereas sizing up makes it feel like a plank. Come in if you want help dialling in the right size for your setup.
