Carver x Channel Islands CI Fishbeard Surfskate | CX | 29.25"
Business in the front. Party in the back.
The Carver x Channel Islands CI Fishbeard is where two Californian legends meet on pavement. The shape is drawn directly from Al Merrick's Fishbeard surfboard — a performance nose up front for drive and projection, a classic fish tail out back for pivot and release, and a flat concave that lets you set your feet wherever the turn demands. The 80s-era CI logo layup across the deck graphic completes the vintage-modern feel of a board that's clearly been built by people who surf.
At 29.25" with a 15.5" wheelbase the Fishbeard CX is compact and snappy — more similar in length to the Bloom than the Thunder — but significantly wider at 9.75", giving it a stable, planted feel underfoot despite its short length. The CX truck system drives it through tight, thruster-style carves with full aerial stability.

Who Is This For?
The Fishbeard CX suits intermediate to advanced riders who want a compact, wide surfskate with genuine surf-inspired shape and feel. The fish tail and flat concave make it particularly suited to riders who want to work on cutbacks and pivoting turns off the tail. Riders wanting a longer, more stable platform may prefer the CI Happy 30.75" or the Supernova 31.25".
About Carver
Carver Skateboards was founded in Venice Beach, California in the 1990s by Greg Falk and Neil Carver. Channel Islands Surfboards was founded in 1969 by Al Merrick in Santa Barbara — shaper to Kelly Slater, Tom Curren, and some of the world's greatest surfers. Together they've built a Carver collab series that combines Carver's truck technology with CI's decades of refined surfboard shapes.
